From 1378 to 1705, Celle was the official residence of the Lüneburg branch of the dukes of Brunswick-Lüneburg (House of Welf) who had been banished from their original ducal seat by its townsfolk.

Friends took us to this restaurant and I have to say both hubby and I were blown away. We both had steaks, one medium with baked potato one well done with chips, both were melt in the mouth! The baked potato was lovely, with the skin being cooked just right, and a large slice of garlic bread.Staff were friendly and the service was very good. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely place inside and out, clean and friendly. All speak some English and food is good and authentic. Prices are competitive for the area and type. My definite favourite steak house in this area.
