We visited on a Saturday night during Taste of Burlington. The meal overall was really good. Our starter was the least favourite, the butternut squash ravioli, it was fried and we weren't expecting that. The menu stated fried sage, so I thought they fried the sage for flavour but the actual ravioli was fried. I probably would not order that again. For our mains my husband ordered the rack of lamb and totally loved it. My son had the prime rib, it was a very large portion, he enjoyed it and I ordered the rainbow trout. My meal was just ok. Each of the mains had vegetables and potatoes, so a good size meal. The dessert was great both my husband and son had the cheesecake and I had the creme brulee which was delicious. The setting of this restaurant is so beautiful, looking out onto the lake. Our server was very good. Overall it was a great dinner in a lovely venue.

Located at 390 Brant Street facing Elgin Street. A small boutique style Steakhouse with a chic, urban feel - sit at one of our high tables, grab dinner at the bar or perch yourself at the counter of our open kitchen for a front row view of our talented ch
We havenât been to Prime in years, what was once a large sprawling restaurant is now one cramped room with about 6 tables and some bar stools. We stood at the door for ages being ignored by a bartender making drinks and a server who sat at a table chatting with friends. They finally said we could pick from the two tables available. Why not just say that from the get go? We sat for approx 15 min completely ignored. The open concept kitchen is a poor choice when the cook is reading a book while we sat ignored. The room was too hot and humid and we finally just left and they couldnât have cared less. How is this place staying open?? They have no concept of hospitality. Hi Pocket Guide, thanks for bringing this to my attention. Iâm wondering if you could tell me which day you visited us on so that I can take a closer look? This experience isnât typical of what to expect at our location, apart from the size of course, so Iâd like to make sure it doesnât happen again. You may email me [email protected] or respond, thank you.

My wife and I enjoy a good steakhouse once and a while but left The Lord Nelson unimpressed and disappointed that for a such high price tag we were delivered an experience that wanted for so much. Right off the bat, I complained about something I've never done before â I sent back my menu. It was crusty with bits of food stuck to the plastic page protector and the paper was greasy. As a 22 year Food and Beverage veteran (chef) I notice these kinds of details. The menu's replacement landed moments later without apology and service was flat from then on in. My wife and I locked eyes and considered another restaurant, but I was craving Oysters Rockerfeller for days and this is the only restaurant around that serves them ($28/6). They were fantastic. The squid was not â slimy and under cooked with mushy breading. I was not about to continue complaining as I now felt like a pest and swallowed the squid with a wince. I asked for bread to mop up the delicious butter/hollandaise/oyster liquor goodness and was delivered bread that was cold and staling, akin to the overall experience. We shared a steak (very good), mashed potatoes (lumpy and luke warm), onion rings (from a GFS box and extremely salty), 2 glasses of wine and a cocktail. Total damage with tip, about $220. I advise bringing your dollar to Barberians or Jacobs and Co. Downtown Toronto, as here you will find only an amateur and lackluster experience typical of most archaic Burlington and Oakville restaurants serving a thinning and aging customer base.

Encounter a premium dining experience without formality at Canyon Creek. Introduce your palate to our Signature Canyon Creek Dip or Golden Calamari appetizer. Enjoy a popular favourite like the Chicago-cut Striploin Steak, Herb Grilled Chicken or the Roas
Overall it was quite good. Mrs. D. Had the, Carrot & Ginger Soup, said it was quite good. I had the Shrimp coctail , cold, fresh and lots of horseraddish in the cocktail sauce. For the main , dishes my wife had Jail Island Salmon Romesco with Southwest succotash, fingerling potatoes, triple crunch beurre blancthe Salmon, said 'very good and moist'. I had the 10Oz Pork chop with cranberry relish, bacon glazed Brussel sprouts, russet potato mash . Im not a lover of Brussel sprouts but did taste one or two , enough said Back to teh meat and potatos. Desserts we had salted Chocolate Ganache with pecan crumble, caramel, whipped cream I had the Lemon Tart, with a sortbread crust, chantilly cream, and strawberry. Coffee for both. Service was excellent. We will visit again. Amazing how a chain restaurant, can have such a different personal rating .

Have been to this restaurant many years ago and it is still around. This time 6 of us went to celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary. It is a small restaurant in a strip mall. It seemed everyone there was celebrating a birthday or anniversary. It was busy. Dinners on the menu run around $50 to $60. Portions are huge and include salad or soup plus potatoes and vegetables. Service was very good. Very attentive. This restaurant is one where the service staff wear Black suits and the tables have white tablecloths. Steaks are delicious and cooked to your liking! Tends to be an older crowd that goes there for dinner.

Recently enjoyed dinner here with my wife. No special occasion but the food and service made it special. Our waitress was very informed and attentive, but respectful too. Great menu selections and very tasty. Weâll be back.
