Poor service, awful sirloin, full cheap oil chips, when mentioned to waitress she replied ill tell the butcher not the professional answer i was waiting for. My dad said no can you tell the chef... Still waiting for a response!!Don't think she wants to be there. Wait to long for drinks etc etc. She was not impressed with us mentioning the sirloin surely she should of been more hospitable towards. Oh sorry but a smile wouldn't go a miss. I want to be made welcone not uncomfortable

We arrived quite late on a Friday night. We were seated immediately upstairs and received perfectly attentive service. Just right.We ordered a couple of starters and then the Double Take with a portion of HUGE Portobello mushrooms. All of it was perfectly cooked and a great portion size. We couldn't finish but no problem it was bagged up for us. £55 with the drinks and well worth it. Very chilled atmosphere. Very much looking forward to returning.

Had a greet family meal here again, food and service all outstanding, always a special treat to visit the âPenn Cottageâ as we affectionately know it as. Been going here now for about 35 years. Remember when we were kids, coming here was a very special occasion, these days we just go spur of the moment for know other reason than we want a treat. We decide last minute to book and managed to find a table for 5:15 it was my 10 year olds suggestion.
