Did the groupon promotion of prix fixe. Wife and I had the mussels and cauliflower appetizers and the salmon and chicken entrees with the cheesecake and lemon creme brule desserts.Everything...everything was unbelievable flavorful. the cream red pepper orzo, the gnocchi, the thai sauce with the mussels, the seasoning on the cauliflower ap...all was just incredible. And wonderful portions. Salmon was cooked to perfection..chicken was great, a smidgen on the dry side but so flavorful. This is fine dining, it isn't cheap even with Groupon, especially when you add some wine and taxes that are on the full value of the meal. And of course you have to tip and I tipped more than my normal 15%...Jose the waiter is in the top 2-3 waiters i have ever had in my life. Quiet but engaging, attentive service, professionalism....all in all, total pride in what he does with a smile and honest advice. No doubt he was the most attentive waiter I have ever had.Ambiance is nice.Outside is the only downfall of this place...which is nitpicky..overlooks a street, tattoo parlour, parking lot. If this was in a bit better location with some sort of idyllic view...the lake, the woods, even some nice lawns, this place would unbeatable. Oh yeah, lemon creme brule...wow was it good!!!Even the washrooms. individuals cloth hand towels that you put in a wicker basket.

Positives: Charly our waiter was outstanding, very personable and efficient Prime Rib was very nice and cooked to the point requested.Negatives: The Shrimp appetizer was mediocre at best. Served in an escargot dish with no more than 2 shrimp cut up into small morsels. Very oily and not very tasty. $11.00 for the dish is an outrage The Escargot appetizer was also very mediocre, tiny escargots in a sauce that was very salty and not very tasty. Once again overpriced. Told the waiter we wanted to take our time and spend a nice evening at the restaurant. Less than two hours and the dining experience was over. I believe it is about the in and out volume rather than customer satisfaction All in all, $190.00 for two with a bottle of wine, appetizers, and main course and tip, was over the top. We will not return.

We visited Baton Rouge on our way home from Sudbury (Barrie is a half-way point to Niagara) and were delighted with the food and service from Crystal. The owner Bardia is very welcoming and runs a great restaurant. We will be back anytime we have a chance, the daily soup (made by Bardiaâs father is fantastic). I recommend the lobster ravioli. Enjoy one of Canada's original roadhouse restaurants, with Canadian favourites like double stacked burgers and unforgettable chicken wings. At Kelsey's the beer is always cold and a game is always on.
We arrived during a very busy Sunday evening & waited approximately 30 minutes to be seated. The children were looked after right away. As adults we waited approximately 45 minutes for our meal. One order was fine, one order wasnât as ordered, which was rectified & one order didnât come. On inquiring the one order had not been filled & was then cooked. The food was good, however by the time the adults got their food the children were finished. To try to make it up to us there was no charge for the forgotten meal & we were given a free dessert of choice. I would think twice about returning. Free parking & wheelchair accessible.

We stopped in for a quick bite, so we went to the high boy chair area in the bar. We were served our drinks promptly and our grandson was given the kids menu. His kids burger was enjoyed immensely, with the bacon he requested. Hubby got a chimichanga (huge) and I got a southwest bowl (also huge). Everything was great - great spot to bring kids with the kids menu for sure!Hi StanleyandMarie, Thank you! Your 5 star review and nice comments are appreciated. We look forward to seeing you and your family again soon, The Lone Star Team
