We were early which maybe caught them out. Got drinks after a while, but these ran dry and none of the wating staff noticed. Eventually, managed to order some more. Food took around an hour, which seemed slow even for a Sunday lunchtime, and it arrived in such as way that those eating from the kitchen were finished by the time those who went to carvery got back with their huge platefuls. These were in contract to some of the other mains which were small. Sunday lunches were very tasty, other food variable.

The service in this restaurant was really slow taking over 2 hours for two courses. Being a veggie I opted for a veggie starter which came covered in bacon. That went back and a "new" one arrived for me to find out that they had picked the bacon off, leaving some behind. They took this one away saying they would cook a fresh one. The next one arrived and surprise surprise there was still bacon on it and it wasn't very warm for a supposedly freshly cooked starter. The bowls they used for the meals were chipped as well so on the whole a bad dining experience, If it hadn't been for the good company it would have been a complete disaster!

A small group of us wanted to watch the Six Nations Rugby. The White Hart couldn't have been a better place to go. Harvey's best on draft and exceptionally helpful staff. We mentioned being a bit peckish and the land lady duly brought out free plates of chips! Nice move. We'll be back!
