Beatiful place for a restaurant, we ate here at night by the pool and it was romantic. The tables aren't too close to eachother so you have privacy. Food was exellent, I loved the spicy pepper salad that you eat with bread in most of the places in Algeria. Was as good as my mother-in-laws one! We had chicken wich was perfectly cooked, still moist and flavourful. Tiramisu was really nice, I'm not big fan of coffee, but this one didn't have overpowering coffee flavour, was just perfect. The staff were really polite and friendly and service was fast, didn't have to wait for the food even it was quite busy. Will be definately back when next time in Algiers!
Huge surprise, delicious & various burgers are served here ! French fries and salads are also helping to enjoy a fast but good food. Tables are limited so it is more take away shop but I recommend burgers

Quartier Generale or QG, is a nice mixture of French and Algerian cuisine, located in the heart of the diplomatic districts of Algiers. The official address is on Boulevard 11 Decembre 1960 but the locals know the street as Val d'Hydra. It has a very pleasant outdoor terrace, off the main road so it's relatively quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a good place for a nice lunch. The iceberg lettuce salad with roquefort and walnuts was quite good, as was the mixed grill. It's a little pricey by local standards but I'd definitely go there again.

A good "meat bar" that provides you your carnivorous morsels right off the grill, piping hot. You can watch it being cooked and delivered right to your table. If you like the chicken breast, be sure to ask for the poulet scallop, or you'll get the other pieces and parts...which is mighty tasty too!

This chic restaurant, in business since the 1970s, is very popular and reservations are recommended. We were warmly greeted by a friendly host, possibly the owner, and promptly led to our upstairs table by a very pleasant waiter. The menu was elegant, featuring various types of grilled steaks, veal, chicken and lamb (available as filets or kebabs) as well as fresh fish. We immediately received two delicious salads, a spicy green pepper amuse bouche and freshly baked French and Algerian bread. It was a perfect start. My filet of veal was lean, cooked to perfection and the smooth as silk puree made from potatoes and carrots was to die for. Out of curiosity I also tried my brother-in-law's "Lotte", an impressive looking Mediterranean fish, which was amazing as well. Creme Caramel, Tiramisu and refreshing mint tea provided a perfect ending to an excellent dinner.
