Three consecutive days we had dinner here. Thank you Vishwa, you and your mother made our holiday unforgettable. We had delicious live crabs, lobsters, calamar rotti, even chocolate rotti. Everything very tasty and made with passion and love. Mind that the phone of the place has changed recently, it is 0779214618 now. You have to try this kitchen, it is so good tasting.

A spacious, all day dining restaurant that has well deï¬ned zones, each serving a distinct cuisine and an interactive live kitchen adds to the dining experience. Our accomplished chefs will bring you the very best of the world, with a selection from Sri La
We stayed 3 nights at the Marriott and wanted to go to Big Fish for our last night. However given the current circumstances in Sri Lanka, the hotel occupancy was low and the restaurant was not opened. Weligama Kitchenâs sous-chef managed to still arrange a nice dinner for us at Tides (lounge bar of the hotel). We just picked what we wanted to order fromBig Fish menu the night before and we had a great meal. As for Weligama Kitchen, we had the buffet on our first night with many choices, western and local, the curry crab was excellent! We ordered curry the second night and we offered salads and desserts. They also have a great selection for a quick lunch such as burgers and sandwiches. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. They tried to accommodate us the best they could (for example the juices from the buffet were too sweet for my taste and the immediately asked me if they could make one for without sugar). Breakfast was delicious and very diverse. I couldnât try everything and we had breakfast here 3 times! The chef also packed sandwiches for us when we left to the airport, which was a really nice gesture. Thumbs up to the whole team! Thank you and we hope to come back as soon as the situation is back to normal. Special thanks to Roshan for organizing our last dinner, Jagathees from Tides and Weligama Kitchenâs chef.

Great grilled fish and seafood restaurant. Lovely and cosy table on the beach with candlelight. Perfect for eating fresh fish directly gotten from this fisherman family. Traditional Sri Lankan recipes or simple grill with a bit of lime, you will find your
2 couples for dinner on the beach at fishermanâs father. The owner is a legend and the tuna and prawns were super fresh and delicious. He weighed the fish and gave us the price up front (4 people eating 3 large tuna fish and plentiful prawns plus rice and chips for 1,000 rupee each!). He and his fishermen engaged us in conversation, giving us some history of his business (he was there for the 2004 tsunami) and how heâs worked his way back since then. Little baby turtles were crawling up from the beach and around our table. BYO beers and had the whole place to ourselves being a little out of season. Great service, delicious food and friendly, caring, attentive staff. Would highly recommend!

We were a tad questionable about the price at first, after talking to many locals we knew that we were being given a fair price and the prawn and squid we bought just came off the boat. He ended up giving us a tad extra and really made sure we were well taken care of. Very local and good atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone visiting here.

Visited this place in search of food, Didn't expect it to be amazing. Make reservation for dinner as they prepare food for limited nuber of guests. The host was kind enough to serve us without reservation. The vegetables were just fantastic. The only thing left was licking the plate. Felt hilarious while seeing another guest doing the same.

Such a great family run restaurant, really small but offers incredible home cooked local cuisine at great prices. The family are all really friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic. So much better than going to a big chain restaurant or tourist spot. You can tell the dishes are all freshly prepared using local ingredients. Will definitely go again when in Weligama and recommend all who visit the area to go for a meal at Meewitha.
