We ate here 2 evenings. Initially walking in from steamy outside it was freezing inside so bring a sweater if you get seated under a blasting a/c unit.Portions are huge, prices are reasonable so think about sharing; 3 dishes for 4 people is plenty of food.Itâs Chinese food and beef was very tough so Iâd recommend avoiding beef.
I just heard about this Quant Little Shop serving very traditional food on a Lotus Leaf means the â Nelum Koleâ is a must visit place if you want to learn about traditional food. They serve breakfast and lunch in a buffet style, prices are beyond reasonable. Ownerâs Motto is to introduce traditional nutritious Sri Lankan meals from the area to the next generation in a Traditional Lotus Leaf , he also stress on not to waste food as it was a buffet style. Owner and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating with full of true Sri Lankan Hospitality. Wide array of Traditional Sweets are also on display. This place is about 1Km away going north on A9 road passing Rambawa Junction and the closest main city is Anuradhapura.

Stopped by Seedevi Family restuarant for a late lunch on a hot day, so were very grateful for the air conditioning. Both buffet and a la carte options were available at lunch. We went for the buffet option as we wanted something quick. There were a variety of curries on offer, two rice, veg and poppadoms. Food was tasty but nothing too memorable. Desserts were offered but we didn't get that far. We didn't end up eating that much so probably didn't get the best value out of the buffet, but it was not expensive for European tourists,Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant is large and looks to cater for big groups, but when we came it was relatively quiet. Overall our meal provided what we wanted - something quick and filling.

We stayed four nights and took all of our morning and evening meals at the Milano Restaurant. The food was good, the setting pleasant, and the staff excellent. They went out of their way to accommodate the quirks in our diet. They are a credit to the establishment.

While you are enjoying your visit to the Ancient Capital Of Anuradhapura we are eagerly waiting to satisfy your taste buds with our mouthwatering authentic Sri Lankan Culinary Preparations.
Lovely traditional Sri Lankan homestead offering home cooked set menus on their open-air first floor restaurant. Just make sure you have the mosquito repellent handy. We opted for one vegetarian set menu and one with fish and were inundated with mango chutney, curries and rice, including two varieties of aubergine, water spinach, dhal, cabbage and cucumber. Everything was extremely tasty. With two bottles of water, we got change out of LKR2500. Ridiculously good value, especially given the setting and the quality of food. Just a pity that we couldnât taste their famed jackfruit curry, but the fruit isnât in season in August. Definitely worth a visit. Its always really a great pleasure to read fabulous comments about your performances in hospitality industry , specialy the restaurant . A very big "Thank You " for your kind concern to express your experience with Hotel Shalini Extrermly regret that we couldnt offer you the jackfruit curry . One again thank you very much for patronizing us and for recommending us to other customers
If you are looking for a decent lunch in Bufet style just go here , you will not be disappointed. They also have spoon and fork , donât worry . They have around ten dishes that you can serve yourself from , half vegetarian half meat . If itâs too spicy you can order a Jogurt with it . We paid 10⬠for one child and 5 adults incl some soft drinks . Found it very very delicious and also lovely staff that spoke English !

Mango Mango is the first Authentic North & South Indian Restaurant In Anuradhapura. Mango Mango Opened its doors to food lovers on 4th April 2014.
One of the best restaurants I have been in Anuradhapura. Their food is excellent. Nothing to complain. Ample selections for the customers. The staff are very polite and attentive. nicely dressed as well.A special feature I like most is the most clean toilets. They are cleaned every 5 minutes. Two lady labourers are kept there for the job. They are very caring, I myself being a lady using a hand clutch, they supported me down the steps to the toilets and took care of me till I came out and climed back the few steps.Clean toilet is number one I think I look for at aeating and a refreshing and place.Rasika Perera

Little paradise has a 30 years of experience with hospitality industry. We basically prepare srilankan food.
Beautiful traditional Sri Lankan meal in a quaint little home, served by friendly young guy, flavors were amazing and incredibly well priced. We walked from our accommodation but probably be easier to get a tuk tuk ride. Fantastic dining experience.
