Went here with some friends and had a good time. Only complaint is that the place is PACKED and there is not much room to move around. We even bought a bottle of whiskey in the hopes of getting a table and more space, but they were sold out of tables and we had to share with another group...

We arrived at this restaurant next to the river and within a cultural center in Villahermosa. It is just a few steps from the Museum of Anthropology of Tabasco. We were told this was the best place in town to try some local meal. The service is good overall. They are attentive, and have good timing. The appetizers were very delicious and the variety of the dishes were appropriate. They recommended a salsa made out of local chiles and we loved it, but when we order more, they send us something different. When we told our waiter that it wasn't the same, he only said they had run out of it. I wonder why they recommend something that they are almost out of... interesting. When we got our main dishes, they came all at once, but some of the dishes were cold as if they were made in advance and just waiting in the kitchen. The turkey was definitely old. It was hard, tasteless and with a funny smell. We decided not to eat it.We have to be fair and said that the tongue dish was so delicious that we were considering order another portion, but we were full by then. When time to pay came, they took our credit card and were in the back for over 10 minutes, when the waiter came back and requested another way of payment because their cc machine was not working. We asked where the closes ATM was located, and they told us that it was a few blocks away, but they insisted that we paid cash or we leave an ID before going to get money out of the ATM. After that I got up and asked for a manager, when she came back and I explained the situation, she said, we have another cc machine in the back. She went to the back and was back in less than a minute with another cc machine and took our payment right there... I have to say. I am checking my cc everyday to make sure they didn't get my cc information.

La Bodeguita del Medio, 70 years of history. ... "My mojito in the Bodeguita and my daiquiri in the Floridita", used to say the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961), who lived two decades on the island of Cuba and whose example is imitated
Apparently this is a chain of restaurants. One that I will certainly look out for as it was truly excellent. We sat outside and enjoyed a few mojitos on the terrace. The menu is excellent and would strongly recommend the Torta Cubana. Delicious sandwich with pork.

It's a very impressing and even quite luxurious place in Villahermosa But the management has lost control and personnel is not trained to serve properly and advice guest during their visit to this elegant restaurantMusic is not properly program and some times they start playing laud songs that are not suitable And waiters are not trained about wine Finally out Fillet was just a piece of meat not tender and completely tastelessOur meal took a long time and it all came out at same time so we had first and second plate and side orders all at the same time about an hour after sitting down I believe the wanted us to keep ordering drinks because there were no other guest ordering. At that timeAir conditioning was not running at the area where we were seat but at mid meal they wanted to move us to a cooler area out side temp was near 100FI think such a great place should be run by a professional and experienced team
