Restaurant. Bar. Coffee. Pizza. Freshly baked bread and pastry. In the up and coming gourmet and artisty Otumba neighborhood in the east side of Valle de Bravo. #justgoodfood #openallweek
My girlfriend and I were on vacation from US in Valle De Bravo for a week. We came to visit this charming town outside of Mexico City we had heard and read so much about. We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. The town is beautiful, filled with rich culture and history, gorgeous architecture, and best of all, it contains our new home away from home, the one and only Tellus Bistro. As visitors to the town, we wanted to try as much of the local flavor and art as we could get our hands on. Delicious street food vendors, wonderful local shops and galleries, and home-made pulque on the side of the road by a woman who looked like my grandmother. One day we were walking along and saw a sign for this restaurant. We decided to pop in and check it out. The first thing we noticed was how hip the place seemed. My girlfriend and I are from Southern California, we have some of the trendiest and most popular restaurants in the world in our own backyard. Tellus Bistro made us feel like we were right back at home. It was amazing to find a place like this, nestled away in Valle. The food was to die for, it is immediately apparent how much effort is put into the dishes they serve here, incredible fusions of flavor and presentation. There was a full bar, complete with espresso machine, we immediately gravitated towards this as we walked into the restaurant for the first time. We struck up a conversation with the lovely bartender, who is actually the wife of the head chef of the restaurant. We quickly realized we had something in common, she and her husband were from Los Angeles as well. She told us that they had moved here to open up this establishment together. My girlfriend and I were immediately enthralled by this charming, romantic story of this young wedded couple who moved here to start this new life together owning and operating this restaurant with their father and family. The cocktails and the beer were delicious, the bartender knew what she was doing. She went over to her husband and explained how we were from the same part of US as them, he actually came over from the kitchen, introduced himself to us and took the time to spend a few minutes with us, sharing stories back and forth together of Los Angeles and their new home, Mexico. The food came, short ribs and the house burger, garlicky parmesan fries and fried buffalo wing-style cauliflower. My goodness.. we had arrived. It was such a wonderful feeling to be thousands of miles from home, and still find a little piece of back home here in Valle. We were hooked. We ended up coming back to this restaurant a few more times during our week-long stay, every single time a wonderful experience. Excellent service, attentive waiters and hosts, stiff drinks, and the food.. oh the delicious food. Ginger beef, fried rice, american-style breakfast and breakfast sandwiches, delicious lattes and coffee, crispy chicken sandwiches and lamb vindaloo. We tried it all, we loved every last bite. There is something about this place, so warm and enchanting. There is magic here.We predict nothing but amazing things for the wonderful owners and this classy restaurant.Thank you for our experience Tellus Bistro.Trini & MariThank you very much for this lovely review! Your eloquence has left us quite speechless...but above all very happy that you enjoyed Valle de Bravo so much, and that Tellus Bistro was a part of this memorable experience. We do look forward to your next visit so that we can regale you with more creations from Ai Mi's artisanal cocktail bar and Chef Yanko's kitchen. The town is gorgeous and quaint, with lots of things to see and shop, so after some visiting you want a bite to eat in a good restaurant. We were recommended to Roser by a friend, so we went in. The patio is charming and we were set for a good meal. Unfortunatelly food quality and taste is well under par. I understand that in Valle most of the business is on weekends, but still food was mostly frozen. The paella was particularly poor, as was most of the food. I think the owner-chef should take the time and offer freshly cooked and savory dishes.

It is the restaurant with the best typical food and the best flavors around Valle, also accompanied by handmade tortillas. Affordable prices and different options to try each time you return.
I spent the day in this beautiful town, Valle Del Bravo and my friend and I stopped by this small restaurant in town. The cook is the owner who stopped by our table to great us. And we asked her for recommendations and we had several dishes; all freshly made and delicious. I will definitely return to this place. I highly recommend it if you are looking for fresh and authentic Mexican food.

We spent one of the most memorable afternoons at Crater 16! The food is to die for, especially the "fideo a los cuatro chiles" and the oven-baked pizzas. Additionally the terrace is a delight, with a pond and variety of plants that keep the atmosphere fresh and lovely. Definitely a must! The owner and host is one of the most knowledgeable people I've met when it comes to food and wine. What a treat!

The chef of this restaurante is the one who brings magic into the restaurante, but to be honest he could cook at the top of a mountain and you still feel the flavors of the Mediterranean food.Every time I'm in Avandaro I stop to enjoy the flavors of the mother land in Avandaro

The food was nothing special. Iâve been in a lot of Spanish restaurants better than this one. I had a vegetarian paella that was nothing special, Iâve done better veg paella at home. The âtortilla españolaâ wasnât that good either. The place is quite nice. It is a shame that we did not offered you the best possible experience on your visit. Your input would have been great while in place for us to serve you better. Please come back whenever you desire and ask directly for me. I am confident I can find an option that will delight you. Please receive our humble apologies.
