Went here as it had good reviews on trip-advisor. We were not disappointed.Really great salad and Paella. The wine I chose was not available but the manager/owner suggested another. Was a great recommendation. Very much enjoyed our time in this very busy and cosy place. Can not believe that after nearly 20 years in the area I have never been here before.Look forward to the next time.Ha sido un placer para nosotros conocernos . Restaurant located in the bay of Palamos-Sant Antoni de Calonge (Costa Brava), where seafood is served tradi tional. It's a family restaurant run today by the sons of the founders. His specialties include seafood pescadors. It has a dining room on two lev
We each had starters - Anchovies on bread and fried sardines. The fried sardines were a bit underwhelming in my opinion but my husband loved them. The anchovies were excellent! We shared the lobster paella which was very tasty, nice and hot and had a great texture. I mention the fact that it was hot because when you sit outside to hear, you do not want your food cooling off immediately. The service was also very attentive and friendly. There was only one thing I would have changed - personally,I did not need to see the lobster before they cooked him for our paella and would have preferred to be asked if I wanted to inspect him at our table. My response would have been "No Gracias". It was very nice sitting outside and even though you are sitting next to the pavement where everyone is strolling, you do not feel like you are in the middle of everyone. You can enjoy the surroundings while still feel like you are having a romantic dinner.

This is an authentic tapas restaurant where a mom and pop duo delight with hearty tapas at VERY reasonable prices. Try the cheddar cheese croquetas or the cheese filled jalapeños wash them down with a cold caña (they keep the glasses chilled).

We had a meal consisting of the set menu, consisting of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. It was all wonderful. The restaurant served us a small appetizer with olives. We ordered as appetizers fried calamari, and croquetas of chicken and of cheese. Spanish croquetas have a thin crunchy breaded coat over a pasty filling. Both types were savory, and the cheese croquetas were filled with a kind of blue cheese, which kept its distinctive flavor but was not overpowering. Two groups of two diners shared two of the signature dishes at the restaurant: seafood paella, and seafood fideua. Fideua is a dish prepared much like paella, except using inch-long pieces of broken fideos, a fine noodle commonly used is Spain for soups, instead of rice. Both were excellent. I had the chicken, also very good. For desserts, we had chocolate soufflé with raspberry sauce which was not too sweet, just a little tart; sorbet de maracuya (passionfruit) which was also tart, but delicious in taste with a great consistency; mango ice cream, sweet and very creamy with a delicious flavor; requesón (a kind of creamy Spanish cheese) with layers of honey; and crema catalana, which is sort of like a Catalan version of flan with a surface of caramelized sugar, also delicious. All the desserts are house-made. The server was very polite, attentive and engaged, offering suggestions and demurrers as he felt necessary. The woman who served as the maitre d' was also very engaging, and described what were possibly her creations â the restaurant is small, and there were only the two of them in the dining room â lovingly, and made suggestions based on preference expressed. She may have been the owner; I didn't ask. I whole-heartedly recommend it for great food. It cost us â¬170 for 5 fixed-price dinners, a couple of glasses of wine, some soft drinks, a couple of bottles of water.

Mediterranean restaurant in a unique and peaceful environment. Our cuisine is based on traditional Catalan cuisine, adapted to changing times and always with the best products of the season. You will be able to choose our menu , the menu of the trilogies
Don't expect it to surprise you with extravagant cook creations. What you will find is honest true catalan cuisine, made out of fresh quality raw material from nearby.Few tourists and mostly locals is another sign of well understood quality. It is literally hidden in the forest, but one can reach it out following the signs. Be aware of vehicles coming from the opposite direction, as the road has only one lane in most of it.Once you reach the place, you will not be disappointed, although better book in advance, as it can only host a limited number of people.Thank you so much for your opinion. We will be happy to serve you on another occasion. Greetings.

Well, is it a wine bar that serves food or a restaurant that has an excellent offer in wines? I would go for the first option, in view of the limited choice of meals. But don't bother, the meals we took (potatoes with eggs and foie; steak tartare) were excellent! Their own wine, Raió, was a positive surprise: elevated in terracotta amphoras and thereafter bottled. Great balance of ripe fruits. Why a score of 4 and not 5? Because it's worth at least 4.5 but just not the full five...Thank you for your visit. And of course for your opinion. Our menu is not extensive as we like to work with local and seasonal products: Fish of the day and the port, mushrooms from the mountains in front of the restaurant, veal of the Pyrenees, etc ... Bistro in every rule. We hope to see you soon again !!

You know you are in for a treat when the menu is limited, varied and interesting. Service, food, and atmosphere perfect. Off the beaten track, a great find.

Entre dos mons (Between two worlds) relates directly to us and the cultures we were raised in - Peruvian and Catalan. Our cuisine is based on a shared love and passion for food, drawing inspiration from childhood memories as well as many influences picked

There are three generations behind tipis charming restaurant. It serves local Emporda, market cuisine cooked with care and good taste. It has two dining rooms, a third, private golf-inspired dining hall and an outdoor pergola.
Went a couple of times to this restaurant in the evenings as it was close to our villa. Both times the food was good particularly the fideiu with prawns and the steaks. Very good wine, and attentive and friendly service. Easy to park.

We wouldnât have found this place if not for our newly-found Spanish friends. Located just off the C-31, above Palamos, this restaurant is a local favourite â and donât we know it, it was sooo busy at lunchtime on a Thursday! People were literally queueing to get in, and they were family groups or friends, nobody looked like a tourist (except us for sure). So glad we made the effort. It is as authentic and as rustic one can ever hope for in terms of Catalonian cuisine. After a 15 minute wait, we were ushered into a huge room filled with people all happily tucking into the menu of the day. At 10⬠(3 courses), how can you lose? We had huge slabs of steak for mains, and a local bean stew for starters, and egg flan for my dessert (my husband had a plateful of melon slices for his). Wow oh wow, the servings were simple but generous and so yummy! A glass of local wine and coffee in the end. Our bill amounted to 38⬠for 3 of us, and we could have taken half our food home! So good! Love the service too. Nobody spoke English, but my goodness, you felt so welcome anyway, you almost think youâre a local. No wonder this place is popular. ps there is a big carpark on the other side of the road, no problems with parking at all
