Restaurants in Trevelez
Stopped here for lunch when visiting Trevelez. Easy to park nearby. Slightly off-hand but speedy service even allowing for the language barrier. Good Serrano ham, bread olives etc at reasonable cost. Average but no problem. Tourist bus ticking over in the road outside spewing noise and fumes a bit of a pain.

We dined here with friends and , by chance, were shown into one of the several dining rooms which was very interestingly decorated. Our waitress was delighful, took time to explain a bit of the history of the place ( originally linked to a local banker who set up an amazing Ponzi scheme in the 1990s ) and then showed us around the other rooms which stretched into the mountain behind.Lunch was great , an excellent salad to share followed by trout for one couple and leg of goat and steak for us. The leg of goat was really-well prepared, a good marinade that kept it moist but cooked so the meat just fell off the bone. My wife's steak was "so so"..Pleasant, relaxed and very reasonable price.
We were fortunate enough to book a stay at Casa Fermina in Introdacqua Italy recently. The owners paid special attention to all the details to make our stay very comfortable. The beds are especially comfortable and the home has several windows to allow for a view of the surrounding countryside. Thereâs a full kitchen to use and enjoy. We felt welcomed and cared for while we were there. If traveling to Introdacqua in the future I recommend you consider a stay at Casa Fermina. The owners are wonderful. Patricia Bevilacqua Brown

Stopped here on a day out with my wife and daughter or rather when we needed to stop, found this place 1 of many I might add, though the seating area outside was busy which is always a good sign. Nice to have a good menu in English, nice selection of starters and mains.Food was of good size and quality was very good, was nice to have a good selection of vegetables.Bottle of water 1lr plus 3 fizzy drinks and 3 main courses and some free tapas came to 35euros which we thought was very good.

My friend and I landed in Casa Julio after a whole day of hiking, with a rainy and wet ending of the day. Some after a warm shower, we went to casa julio without a lot of expectations but quite exhausted. First we had melon + jamón and Habas con jamón. The plates were huge and the food was good, but not special. Then we had- secreto ibérico- choto al ajillowaaaauw!! we both tasted our first bite and we were stunned: this food was soooo good?! I never have eaten better pork meat than here. And the choto was just fantastic! We were really soo pleased! The lady of the house was also very kindly for us. We sat there the rest of the evening, playing some boardgames while it was raining. There was a cosy atmosphere! We also borrowed an umbrella from the lady of the house, she was really great! If you are in Trevélez and you want to taste the local cuisine: this is just the place!Although it is maybe not so fancy or cosy as elsewhere, the service and the food are the best!!

This was a lively and much welcome bar as other places including our hotel dining room were closed for Feria. Our food was delicious and portions generous and we sampled local Trevelez ham as a starter - also delicious!

Meson del Jamon is a typical restaurant/bar located in the little town called Trevelex, in las Alpujarras, in the south part of Spain. Here you can taste some different typies of ham (Jamon is ham, in Spanish). I came here to breakfast, and I recommend you taste cured ham with a local red wine. The best one!

We had lunch in Meson Joaquin during our trip through the Alpujarras. A very friendly woman welcomed us to our table and was very helpful in picking the right dishes from the menu. Starters were great (iberico ham, chorizo, garlic soup & croquetas de jamon) and also the mains were very very good (rabbit with garlic, tenderloin steak, chicken with jamon & the alpujarras mixed platter). The rabbit was crushed which made it a bit difficult to eat but other then that we all liked the food a lot. I would especially like to recommend their morcilla (blood sausage) which was exceptionally good. All in all a very good lunch, would recommend it to anyone.

Driving through the national park of Sierra Nevada we stopped in the town of Trevelez as it is renowned for its Jambon. We heard of this traditional restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the traditional food on offer. A wide range of options were available, we chose to have the host, rabbit and pork traditional style. It was amazing country-style home cooking which was amazing. The views were amazing as well. We had a bottle of the restaurant produced red wine which went perfectly with the meal. A must stop if in the lovely town of Trevelez!

My wife and I arrived beginning of May in Trevelez. We followed the tips on Tripadvisor to find a good restaurant, which brought us to this place. To start with, from the long menu only a soup and 2 meat dishes were available! One of them were chuletas de cordero, lamb chops. We ordered them and after 2 minutes a plate came with some undefinid substances that looked as if they already had been eaten before. The 'meat' was a mixture of bones and fat, the vegetables were overcooked half-warm beans and 2 other things, one yellow and one red, were cold and uneatable. The service was lousy. Pure horror! STAY AWAY!!
