Eight people dined off the set menu at â¬12 per person, A mixture of starters were had which included salads, a bean mix and a really lovely Lentil mix.The main courses also consisted of salads, which were very good, a loin of pork dish served in a cream sauce with potatoes and beans also very good. The stand out main course was the Hake which 3 people had and declared it to be very fresh, tasty and well cooked.3 desserts and 3 coffees completed the meal, which was accompanied by three bottles of nice wine, three beers and two bottles of water.A very satisfactory dining experience at an amazing â¬16.20 per head.

So much value with very simple dishes: salads, toasts, omelettes... Everything is made with the heart and the brain. Place is terrible. Service is OK. Food is excellent. Price is surprisingly low.

I was expecting a lot better. My escalivada had a lot of anchovies and the vegetables were not flavoured. The potatoes in the escalivada were undercooked in parts. It would not be hard to fix this with a bit of attention to detail. Next I had mushroom canelonis. It seemed like came from a ready meal package from out of the freezer. The bread we were given was old. The crema Catalana that I got was nice but my wife ordered ice cream and was given a vienetta. I could have made better food at home. It is frustrating to find restaurants like this. They could simply copy the recipes and attention to detail of better restaurants. This kind of restaurant that generally has not bothered with its decor seems in Spain to also not put in much effort with its menu too. The conclusion I have reached is you should judge a book by its cover when it comes to restaurants in Spain/Catalunya. Also if it a restaurant gets less than 4.5 on TripAdvisor you should not really bother going to it.

Visited off season, so not all restaurants were open.Read the reviews and at the hotel it was also recommend.Came in at 9 pm (that's when they open....), we were theonly customers there and it looked like the family owned didn'treally want to open the place.....We told them that we called to check if they are open (which wedid), and they let us in.Until 10:30 pm, only customers were us, but they treated usexcellent always with a smile. Food was great: fish soup andthe veal steak were very good !Very nice dish sizes and very reasonable prices.

I didn't think little hotel-restaurants serving good traditional food at reasonable prices still existed. But here is one that does! We had an excellent dinner on a table outside (it was very hot) of traditional local dishes explained and served by the friendly hostess: including what is called the Catalan equivalent of haggis (dare I say much better than the Scottish equivalent) and venison stew. I couldn't manage an ice cream. Excellent local wine. We stayed the night, and the room was very good - and fortunately with effective air conditioning. This region has been hit by the economic crisis: we were the only guests - great for us, but so sad for the hard-working owners.

Tremp is a fairly unprepossessing place with not many food options. Burp seemed the highest rated but we went with low expectations. But the couple that runs it changed our minds by providing a simple but well prepared and selected three course meal, with local wine, for less than 15 euros. The appetizers -- in my case a pizza like dish called a coca -- was a treat and the simple entrees were cooked just right. My lamb, a risky choice perhaps at this price, was thinly sliced and grilled to the right degree of doneness and tenderness, The cook and host were very solicitous, making sure that we liked mushrooms before generously garnishing our dish with delicious ones.
