My husband and I took my mother out to dinner at this restaurant last Friday night. It was our first visit there. I was very impressed with the quality of the food. I ordered the chicken skewer, that came with three sides of my choice. The sides I had were green salad, mixed veggies, and mashed potatoes. Each and every part of the meal was extremely well seasoned and absolutely delicious! I was very impressed with the flavor and texture of the chicken and the potatoes were amazing! I will definitely be going back again!

There are many reasons for a restaurant to earn 5 stars, although I rarely give 5 stars. The reasons Puro Pero gets a 5 star rating is amazing, authentic food at a great value. My friend married a girl from Peruvia - she wanted us to go here. It's amazing!! The atmosphere, ok, the waiter, good... the food... delicious! The sea bass dinner was incredible. Yuquitas Fritas, appetizer...BOOM! Steak and eggs dinner, just everything was superb. Almost all the main platters cost between $12 and $20. Go, enjoy real Peruvian cuisine.

Taqueria el Gallo Loco

Everyone wants to have their little hole-in-the-wall Mexican food secret. This is it! I’ve spent a few years living in Sandy looking for some really great Mexican food and I’ve found it here! When you walk in, you might be scared. It looks like a forgotten and sad little diner. There isn’t much staff. Just one kid who worked so hard. We were nervous and almost left. However we stayed when we noticed the kitchen was clean. The menu looked like a Mexican restaurant menu, which means hard to read and too much stuff. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer. Honestly, this rivaled the freshness and quality of any tableside made guacamole I’ve had! Holy guacamole! I ordered the vegetarian torta and my partner had a carnitas taco dish. Mine was amazing! All fresh tasting veggies, cactus, squash blossoms, dressed delightfully. Just shockingly amazing. My parter was obsessed over his tacos. The service was wonderful as well. Our server was a young kid who was personable and professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The chef stopped by our table to check on us and tease me for eating my torta with a fork. Just really cool fun people and a great professional atmosphere— if it could use a serious remodel. I urge you to check out this place! Don’t be worried, the food is spectacular and the price point is very low. Wonderful!!
