Friendly atmosphere, great location but average food selection. Nothing was wrong, but nothing outstanding to write about either.

A welcome refuge for a coffee and tapis. The coffee was very tasty. The two slices of tortilla were moist and may I say delicious.Nice atmosphere. Warm and cosy. Not sufficient staff for such a popular bar.

Los platos son sencillos, correctos y los precios bajos. Me pedà una hamburguesa con queso Idiarzabal y pimientos que estaba sabrosa.

It is not obvious to find something trustworthy in the touristically looking main street of Puente la Reina. When entering bar Aloa, we were welcomed by a somewhat shy, but still friendly man, who appears to be waiter and owner of this business. We had the menu of the day, offered at 15 EUR incl. wine. The food was tasty and authentic, portions were abundant and service was efficient. Worth your visit ... !

La DroguerÃa Bar Restaurante is a place where apart from tasting delicious toast with the best wines or beers, you will find a varied offer of cultural activities such as monologues or live music. Take a seat on our sofas, in the bar area and tables or in
Visiting the area from Scotland and found this restaurant one night. Really really busy but the brilliant waitress who was running around very busy, managed to find us a table. Had the shari g platters between us, including the smoked fish one, which were all gorgeous. The place had obviously had a lot of work done, but really keeps the rustic charm of the building. Reasonably priced, great staff lovely food. Highly recommended

I was surprised at the amount of excellent reviews. I dismissed the several negative reviews as over 100 stated that the food was either very good or excellent. We were the only diners on a Friday night at 6pm ??? Why ? Where were the locals eating ? The picture of front makes look like a high end resturant. We ate down the back that was more like a cheap cafe area. The food was okay. It was functional but it is not excellent or very good. The reviews are over the top. Trust me. It is good value as you get a 3 course dinner for 10 euro.

The "vinoteca" or Wine Store,is situated in the Main Street in Puente la Reina. This is a ver importante street in the way of Sant James. Se offer a wide range of local wines. Hoycan also taste our local sheep cheese .Shoulder of pork with local olive oil
We stayed in one of the Ganbara apartments above this restaurant. We ate at the restaurant for dinner - and it was incredible - every dish was superb - even the tomato and mozarella was fresh and delicious. Local foods and wine - all great. Highly recommended.

Service was excellent and would alone be rated as a 5. Overall rating a 4 mainly because although the food was very good quality and the local wine was excellent, the main meal (beef escalope with chips) was of average taste.

After nearly 60 miles of walking we deserved a treat and this was it. Excellent starters of fish soup and omelette followed by a really great steak. Wish we were here another night .
