Following a recommendation to stop at Lanjaron on the way to Granada I found this place by accident. Great ham selection. Would have tried more glasses of wine (and complimentary tapas) if I wasn't driving. Thank you very much for your comment. Next time come without a car to taste the wine better. We work every day to keep improving.
Small TexMex franchise-style place.Intriguing design ideas.Food OK but nothing special..unless you like hamburgers.Service can be slow considering they p`resent as fast food.Nice ambience though. Few tables outside

"Restaurante El Camping" is inside "Camping Ãrgiva". Our cuisine is traditional with fresh ingredients from the mountains and the port of Motril. We have daily menu for all you want to eat: varied dishes, roasts, salads ... A careful service.
Situated at the local campsite the restaurant is self-contained. it recently changed hands and is now under control of the previous head waiter, Gustav.large interior dining rooms often packed with interest groups or families celebrating weddings. Very popular during the time of First Communion.Outside shaded terrace with vies across the mountains. Ample parking. Children's play area and a chicken run.Long menu with dishes prepared very well. Lamb shoulders a speciality as are ham shanks.

I eat here regularly and the food and service is always exceptional. The management are innovative~ most recently they have introduced organic produce to their already extensive menu. The menu del dia is extensive and changes daily. There is a large choice on the a la carte menu and the wine list includes many local wines. The portions are generous and the waiting staff friendly and attentive.

Went a couple of times while in Orgiva. Food was very tasty and well priced and the service was brilliant. Garlic chicken very garlicky. The place opens earlier than most places too which is good as we liked to be back to our villa before dark (alarming roads)

Alpujarrena typical tavern where you can taste homemade tapas , the best ham and sausages in the area , in a family atmosphere in Soportujar , the village of witches , come and you embrujaras.
Great bar as you enter the lovelly white village of Soportujar its easy to find on the way to the witch fountains. The owner is welcoming and fun. Lots of good tapas in a relaxed atmosphere.

Been around for years and noted for its good cooking. Refurbuished a few years ago it boasts airconditioned interior.Small terrace and a veranda offer outside dining though the veranda is a little close to the road and traffic lights for a romantic dinner a deux!Menu is local and regional with all portions generous and cooked well. Free tapas if you only order an alcoholic drink. Not expensive and, like all local restaurants, offers a 3 or 4 course menu del dia including a drink for around 10 euros.

We'd walked past this pretty courtyard bar several times since our arrival in Orgiva just over a month ago but it wasn't until last weekend that we popped in for a lunchtime drink. We hadn't planned to eat here; however, with every glass of beer (2,20 euros), we were brought a delicious plate of free tapas. First tuna and red peppers, then spicy pork and finally ribs. We vowed to return, which we did today and again enjoyed the variety and quality of tapas on offer: fish salad, another spicy pork dish and finally fish balls. Yesterday, in Padul, we paid a similar price for beer but didn't even get an olive with our drinks which made us realise what excellent value this place is. We hope to go again for a proper meal before we leave the Alpujarras in three weeks' time.

Desde El Mes De Noviembre Del 2017 Estamos En Avenida Gonzälez Robles 3 A La Entrada Del Pueblo Junto A La Gasolinera Pequeña.
We had good reports on this restaurant as being the best in Orgiva. Sadly we found this not to be the case on our visit. The food was ok but not what I would call exceptional. The pricing was on the high side for what we were served. Don`t think we will visit again.

Located past the church heading downhill on the left you come across La Almazara. Tables and seating are spread out on a stoney area, trees and large patio shades offer a cosines and it feels very relaxed. There is also an indoor area. The staff were very nice, happy and smiling. The menu had English translation. Full bar also available. Pizza is the main focus however there were plenty of other choices too. You never felt cramped at all such is the space outside. The service was good, not rushed or overbearing. Our food was well presented, tasty and well priced. Overall a good place for an evening meal in Ãrgiva.
