Very welcoming. Let me use my limited Spanish. Menu del dia: three courses for â¬10 including wine and bread. Chose mixed salad - very good with asparagus and tuna. Cod with sweet peppers and paprika potatoes. Cheesecake with strawberry sauce to finish. All very good and a pleasant red wine to wash it down with. Wifi available and worked very well.

Went with Trip Advispr recommendations. Hamburgers and modern local fusion dishes. They opened the upstairs restaurant for the crazy English couple that wanted to eat before 21.30! Great food and main dishes can be ordered as tapas to share. Four was more than enough, washed down with a chilled local red. Diana our waitress didn't speak English, but didn't matter - great, friendly, fun service. Well worth the visit.

This restaurant deserves to be # 1. We didnât have a reservation and couldnât sit outside in the plaza but instead sat inside of the restaurant. It was a Saturday night though so one canât fault being accommodated this way. The service was tops, friendly, efficient and professional. The wine list is extensive allowing you to choose something to your liking and budget. We had a bottle of Losada Bierzo mencia. The food was delicious and creative. To start We shared a vegetable crepe and thinly sliced aubergine with tomato and Parmesan - both were delicious and it is hard to rate the best of the two. Next, we shared a couple of fish dishes, the salmon with apple sauce and crispy patatas and the hake, or merzula with a seafood sauce - yum to both. We finished with the cheese cake and a coffee. This all came to EUR53 as the food was considered as menu del dia plus extra for the wine and coffee. FANTASTIC.

We loved this place. We had just come off the Camino and were cold and hungry. We ordered the pilgrim meal with 3 courses. We choose soup, an entree and dessert. Everything was great and we met and talked to Ramón-the chef. I highly recommend this place.
Top 10 Spanish food in Medina de Pomar, Province of Burgos, Spain

When in Spain go with the local more relaxed pace of life. I went for the 18⬠degustation menu. I was not disappointed. For starter a mixed platter of grilled mushrooms, Patata Bravas, huevo con blanchel and ham with peppers. The main was leg of lamb and chips. My server had the room to look after and I could only compliment him on his level of service. Do visit as the view over the river to the ascending hills is magnificent. I know why this restaurant is popular with locals so join in and try to adapt.

We stayed at De Floriana as part of an organised walk/drive tour of the Camino. Most hotels had been adequate to very good and our expectations of the accomodation in Molinaseca were tending towards the former rather than the later as we walked into this community. However, we were very impressed with the modern, well furnished and very comfortable De Floriana. The room was tastefully decorated, the bathroom spacious and very clean and the lounge/bar area was very welcoming especially after a hot, long walk. But it gets better! We had intended to walk into the village to eat at a local bar or cafe until a massive thunderstorm led to a change of plans and a belated reservation at the hotel's restaurant. The menu read very well and the meals were fantastic. Among the very best we had in a 7 week Spanish holiday. Our group of 8 walkers found each dish ordered to be faultless and the majority ended up taking 3 courses and being very satisfied with all aspects including choice of wine, service and value for money. Our advice is that if you are anywhere near De Floriana you make a booking for at least a meal but consider staying as well. This was the hidden gem of our trip.
