My family and I were staying in North Miami for a quick trip and were looking for some Cuban food when we stumble upon this place in the listings. Let's just say it was exactly what we were looking for and it did not disappoint. Accompanied by some live music (which wasn't too loud at all like most places), the entire atmosphere was fun and great for families or groups. The food, from the appetizers to the main dishes were fantastic. I would recommend starting off with the fried yuca cheese balls (deliciosos!) and the plantain chips (some of the best I've ever had; light and very crispy). For the main courses, the ropa vieja was a popular choice, as was the Little Havana Steak. We were pleasantly surprised each entree came with white rice, black beans, and fried plantains so it is definitely a great value for the price. As for drinks, the mojitos were delicious. We tried the regular and the mango and both were very good, and nice and strong :)The service was just as great. We can't wait to come back next time we visit Miami!

Family owned and operated BEST cuban cuisine around!!
We decided to eat breakfast at this place because it has a 4.6 Stars (620) reviews. Donât come here if you are hungry! If you look at some of the previous mediocre reviews, they all state the same, bland food, smaller than normal portions, limited menu choices, high prices, false replies to correct the pointed-out issues, and breakfast only on Saturdays.Having eaten plenty of Cuban food in my life, I have to say that we were quite disappointed. The place is relatively small. There were two waiters that were polite, but they were not fully engaged. We ordered the humongous Cuban sandwich and two cups of coffee. Sadly the Cuban sandwich looked like it suffered from anemia (see previous reviews-they promised to correct this)! Three - six months later they havenât! I took a picture to ilústrate. Lots of cheap ham and a Little strip of pork, just enough to give it some flavor, and the cheese was missing in action! Mom and Pop shop with high prices and marginal portions; I will not return!!!

maybe in Dana beach, florida
So we left the aquarium in Miami starving and parched from walking in the sun all day. Four of us walked in for the greatest Cuban meal ever. Oxtail special was like our mother made when we where growing up, Las Vegas a combination of pork chicharones de pollo, fried chicken pieces, steak and onions with white rice black beans and maduros (sweet plantains), skirt steak with shrimp and salsa verde and porkchops tostones. These dishes all would have fed two persons but we all each ate our entire meal plus home made Sangria.

We went for a late dinner, but with the lay out of the place, it could also be a bar hangout. They offered outdoor and indoor seating. To avoid noise from surrounding traffic, we sat indoors. Although we sat near bar and under televisions mounted a wall, it was not too noisy for a conversation. Service was excellent. Food served hot and tasted freshly prepared. The spicy shrimp tacos (3) were delicious! And you can't pass on $5 Margaritas.
