My grandfather would take me here. It opens around 10:00 AM. They serve Mexican food, a great Chinese rice, ribs a la tequila, tostadas, burritos de machaca; it is all very good. It is a combination restaurant/bar, an open space with an old style drive in type service for those who want to stay in their car. You have to visit it to understand. It is a tradition in Mexicali.

Las Brasas has always served delicious food and over the past couple of years their restaurants have significantly upgraded their facilities. Their restaurants are spotlessly clean and inviting.Service is typical of most asaderos in Mexicali. The staff is polite, helpful, and willingly make several runs to the kitchen when you find that the first three tacos were not quite enough.When you are seated, your table will have a vast array of sauces, guacamole, and other condiments awaiting you. Your taste buds are in active overdrive long before placing your order for tacos, burritos, or quesadillas of Mexican-style barbecued beef, beef carne asada, chicken and even offal for the adventurous diner. My favorite is the Vampiro which is a corn tortilla browned over an open fire with wonderful cheese melting across the top. When melted, carne asada is piled high atop the cheese; it is the ultimate in smoky, gooey, goodness.Prices are considerably below identical taco shops in the U.S., but somewhat more expensive than many of their competitors in Mexicali. The price is well worth it; you are assured of excellent food prepared in a clean kitchen and served in a clean dining area. Most of all, dining in an authentic Mexican taco shop is fun; a different experience from dining at your local shop in the U.S.

Me encantó la variedad, la cantidad y el sabor. Tienen atención y amabilidad. Les recomiendo las cáscaras de papá rellenas. Hay pantallas con deportes y música. Quizás, estaria mejor bajar un poco el volumen para disfrutar la plática. Es más espacioso de lo que se ve en la entrada.Las hamburguesas son grandes, puedes pedirlas solas o acompañadas de ensalada o papas fritas.
