We saw a special gourmet 4 course meal offered in the local press to celebrate the Spanish Hispaniola holiday. It was a pleasant drive from Cadiz and we found the Berrueco easily enough. The tables were attractively laid and we had an excellent local craft beer while we waited to be served. A basket of superb local bread accompanied our first course which was a generous prawn cocktail with the sauce served separately. Excellent! This was followed by an interesting experiment in Avocado/cheese. The main course was stuffed small squid which we enjoyed. Dessert was a flan followed by excellent coffee. The owner lives on the premises and only needs a day to put together the meal of your choice for small or large groups. I will be back! Thanks John for your words and recomendación. See you soon Amalia
Weâve visited Medina any times over 10+ years and love itâs traditional and unchanging feel - so we were equally thrilled to stumble upon La Fabrica. What a fabulous little find! Amazing selection of innovative tapas at great prices. The deconstructed ravioli is estupendo! Friendly staff too, who are clearly proud of what they do. We came here several times in our short stay, highly recommended.

I don't think we have had a better arroz caldosa, (think paella with liquid and game instead of fish), anywhere. We had the 1/2 pheasant is, serves 2 people and you wont finish it. Other options include partridge, rabbit and chicken. Very popular venta and people drive to it from miles around, often see Gibraltarian's there and that is a good hour away. Really is a family run place with the matriarch purveying all around. A big thumbs up.

The food and the wine were very good. I don't eat meat but they have daily suggestions of fish so I had a big piece of swordfish. It was great! The white wine was also very nice. The lady who served us was very friendly and she tried to explain everything as best as possible. Very good value for money!

As the name suggests, the terraces offer magnificents views over a patchwork of undulating tiled roofs and church spires to the rural splendour of rolling hills â fringed by the Atlantic Ocean. On a clear day you can even see the Rif Mountains of Morocco
The view is spectacular although we had to eat in as a gale was blowing. Prompt and slick service. Had a shared sardine starter - for â¬8 a little pricey perhaps for 2 slices of toasted bread with a small salad garnish - although the fish was succulent. The mains of albondigas and chicken breasts were certainly tasty and came with stunning chips. By Spanish standards portions were on the light side and with a bottle of water the total bil of â¬32 not cheap for what we had. In summary pleasant meal In a lovely - spot but probably pay a bit extra for the view!

Venta la Duquesa, located in Medina Sidonia at the south of Spain, is a family restaurant that combines two generations, allowing the perfect fusion of traditional cuisine, typical of the area, with touches of art representative of the new kitchen. La Duq
Visited at Sunday lunch time en route from Gibraltar airport to our villa near Chiclana. Roadside Venta that looked like our kind of place, the staff were so welcoming even when busy. We returned the following Sunday having picked up family for the same journey and even though it was later, the bar area was packed, we were soon sitting behind ice cold beer and tapas. As usual, there is a formal dining room which looked nice and an amazing menu choice to suit anyone. Their tapas dishes were very inventive and so tasty, we tried various including kidneys in sherry, anchovies, red pepper stuffed with monkfish and prawn. Plates cleared every time, food was really a sexual treat and the bar had great ambience with tributes and pictures ref bullfighting. Will definitely return next time on this route.

A truly superb place. Very traditional Spanish ambience and interior. A family run business and run very well indeed. One of the starters, Rabo Ravioli, wow. An succulent and smoky steak with very crunchy chips. A good bottle of marques de carceres to drink. The service was friendly and efficient. One of the best restaurants I've been to.

Casa de época decorada con un toque industrial vintage, comida con toques modernos y elaborada, atencion personalizada y precios muy asequibles. En un enclave extraordinario, un escenario único, junto a las murallas del Arco de la Pastora.
Beautiful spot, next to the restored walls and near one of the towns ancient gates. Food lovely, very good value indeed. We shared 4 plates between 4, with bread (in the heat it was enough). Really busy place. Staff did well keeping up, but service was slow and we might have had another drink had we been able to get someone's attention. Got the bill after 3 requests. It hasn't put me off though, we will return, the food and the ambience is too good to miss.
