Good food, cozy restaurant, reasonable prices. Service could be improved by the server with a simple smile

Sit in the terrace early in the morning for the best cup of coffee with "churros", that you will have got in a "churrerÃa" at the right corner walking down till the end of "Calle la aurora",... or order a toast with "manteca colorá" if you want the very authentic local experience. It's home made and it's extraordinaire. The coffee is very strong, I always order it in the big glass with more milk than they usually put on it, for my particular taste. The place is in the very same "Plaza de España", opposite the "Iglesia de la Granada" with its beautiful tower. It's on the shade early in the morning. But they recently set up one of those water mist systems for terraces to beat the heat and the sun, great idea. The terrace is popular in the evenings and nights. You can order a "tapa" with a draft beer ("caña" or "doble"), or a lemon "granizada" (crushed ice lemon drink) with the option of a sip of wine on it. Order "bacalao" or "montado de lomo". If you are coming with children, order "huevos fritos" or "filete de lomo" con "patatas fritas" (home made!!). And say hi to "Manolo", as someone already said, he will remember you the next time.

He vuelto varias veces y bastante bien.

I went for a tender solomillo steak with potatoes and a healthy salad washed down by red wine. And that's exactly what i got ! the kitchen is very good. I would certainly pay a visit again when touring. Mixed salad at â¬5.50 and meat dish at â¬8.50 plus two glasses of local red â¬3.60 Perfect.

This place is yet another typical Spanish restaurant that could be found anywhere in Extremadura. The portions were huge, albeit with a lot of bread, so it is recommended to know what you are about to get up front. The dishes themselves were ranging from just-OK (pitta with lamb) to quite good (sardines).Service was chaotic but friendly-ish. Nothing to write home about.

We ate both lunch and dinner here. First lunch. ..DH had mushroom raviolis. Delicious, earthy. I had a salad with warm goat cheese, walnuts and roasted peppers. Lots of interesting flavors. Dinner. We went with the menu del Dia. DH's soup was rich and creamy. My salad was large-I wasn't expecting chicken in the salad. DH had chicken with a sour cherry sauce. It was tasty but parts of the dish were cool. Not sure what was going on. I had pork with a sauce and the best home fried potatoes ever. We both had mango sorbet on a bed of pineapple with a cool pineapple soup poured on top. That with some wine. A pleasant evening.
