We started our journey from San Sebastián there we ate dinner at one of the best restaurants. We are walking the Camino since 7.9.19 and the tasting menu that we had here was definitely the best dinner we ate. Food, creativity, design, atmosphere & staff, it’s a winner.

Jabugo has a good location and it is an interesting place to watch people. The choice of raciones is limited and they are pretty average in taste. The value for price is ok, although there are many places where you similar food for less.

Pablo must decide if he wants to remain a local chef

A truly delicious lunch - we stopped in fairly late (around 230 pm) and were able to get a table inside (there are only about 6 tables inside and a few outside). Very delicious dishes- the tuna belly with salad was massive and flavorful. The beef tongue with roasted peppers was exceptional, the smokiness of the pepper working well with the cured beef. It was worth trying a local speciality as well, Sahagun leeks served with lashings of foie gras, very tasty. The tostas are also a great option- the fresh cod one looked excellent, our son had a cecina de Leon (beef) with tomatoes which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a couple of small tapas to start (gazpacho and some toasts with cheese). They have an excellent selection of wines by the glass. Extremely friendly and helpful service- really welcoming atmosphere. Good value as well. Great place to stop if you are looking for a delicious lunch and local specialties.

It is in the outer reaches of Leon but my clever fiancée had booked a hotel very close by. The food was indeed Michelin standard with the finesse and diversity we gave come to expect. The salad soup gave me cause for concern but in fact turned out to be delicious. Service is brisk to the point of over efficiency but lets face it for €43 for the meal and €20 for the wine flight it's a steal. Highly recommended for the food.

I recently went to this restaurant for a very special occassion. After reading very complimentary reviews and having booked months in advance I was really looking forward to a nice dinner. First impressions were good, the waiting staff were extremely courteous and professional, and you realize they are trying to offer their customers something different from the typical Spanish restaurant experience which I applaud. Sadly while the intentions were good, the execution was a totally different matter. Each plate that we tried, although most were very nicely presented, was either extremely bland or more often simply unpleasant to eat. My fish dish for example was like trying to eat an elastic band and had as much flavour. As nice as any restaurant looks, people are there to eat well, and for that reason I will never return to this restaurant, nor could I in good faith recommend it to anyone. Something must have changed since all those great reviews were posted.Dear Robert, thank you for your visit, it is very difficult to please everyone and we regret that your experience has not been as the other customers. We hope to see you again very soon. RegardsLuis MéndezExecutive F&B Manager Vamuca

Top quality service and excellent food. Not cheap but not expensive either. In fact, the prices are just right for the quality food you get served. Highly recommend the “Chuletillas de Conejo” (Rabbit Ribs) as it’s what I had (photo included) and enjoyed tremendously. The wife had the “Macarones a la suegra” (Macaroni pasta with cheese and chorizo) and she affirms it was absolutely to die for! Highly recommend this restaurant.Dear customer, we thank you not only for your feedback, but also for the assessment you make of our establishment . We work hard every day so that our customers find at least one reason to return .Regards and see you soon .Luis MéndezCorporate F&B ManagerVamuca

We were given the wrong wine and water and they tried to charge us for a more expensive bottle of wine than the one we had, the main course was a stew of mixed meat which was mostly inedible fat. Chickpeas with cabbage was tasteless, the vermicelli soup was ok. How this p!ace gets excellent reviews is inexplicable.
