We went to this place without any expectations. We couldnât find it at Tripadvisor. The alternative was the steakhouse across the street, but we read different reviews about it. We gave it a shot and ordered the mixed grill for two. We really liked it! We would recommend this place to everyone! We even went back there a second time. It may not look fancy, but the food is great and the owner is really kind!

Tour guide Costa Rica Guides excellent. Food at main restaurant is over cooked and not fresh. Breakfast and lunch are okay, avoid for dinner. However Arenal Kiota is a gem! What is odd is that this restaurant is part of hotel where the food is fresh and well done. The view is fantastic! So if this restaurant can provide excellent service and food, then why can't the main restaurant? In addition, the front desk staff are not very helpful. Only one of the team seems to know what is going on. The hotel itself is in a great location for seeing the volcano, when it is not covered by clouds, but is very dated. Arenal area is very "toutisty" and so I do not think they really care because another bus load of tourists will arrive to replace you. So buyer be aware!

My husband and I visited Juan In A Million when we were in La Fortuna. We wanted something fast, delicious, and, of course, vegan.Juan In A Million was all those things! We had the Vegan Casado burrito which was prepared right in front of us while we chatted with the cook. We asked to have the avocado substituted with fried plantains and our request was cheerfully honored. The burrito was so good!Check them out when you're in La Fortuna and don't miss the Rosas de Jamaica tea! It's perfection!Hola!We take our vegan dishes seriously! We invited a trusted vegan friend to come spend the day with us and help us create the perfect vegan casado burrito. I loved your substitution! We were going for a casado with Mexican style/flavor 'meat" so I didn't really think about balancing the flavors with sweet plantains. Something i'll have to try today....Thanks for mentioning the té! We steep hibiscus flowers, ginger and natural sugar for a minimum of 4 hours. The finished product chilled is sooooo refreshing on a hot day! Perfect here in La Fortuna.Mission accomplished! The Caribbean chicken was fantastic (lightly fried coconut chicken) and the volcano view on a clear day is wonderful. I watched a horse grazing in a pasture during my meal. Lovely ambience. Our server spoke English very well...while not expected, it's always appreciated!

I live in a rural Costa Rican town, but I was on vacation in La Fortuna with a friend from the US. I had been craving some typical Gallo Pinto for a few days and I stumbled upon this soda off the main square in La Fortuna. It was everything I could've asked for. Good pinto, good coffee, and a fair price (2800CRC) for the whole plate.

This restaurant is a 5 minute walk from La Fortuna park and a wholesome delicious taste of authentic Costa Rican food. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the classic tourist spots closer to the hotels/park. Came here with 4 friends from college, definitely a lucky stumble. TLDR: Great food, Lulu is the sweetest lady, and cheap!Hello, the lucky ones were us to have you visiting our restaurant and we hope that the experience with us was the best with our dishes, our attention and prices.Pura Vida Lulu.

We went in by chance and were not expecting to find such quality food. Appetizers (tortilla soup and crab pie) were original and very good. The Filet Mignon as main was exceptional : very tasty meat and perfect cooking.

We walked down towards town from Hotel Lomas del Volcan and most of the restaurants were quiet but this one was very busy. So we went in and ordered dinner and was not disappointed. I think the owner served us and he spoke good english and was very helpful with the menu.Lovely food and enjoyable evening in a busy restaurant.Highly recommendedMe alegra mucho que te gustaran los alimentos y el servicio para nosotros es un placer tenerlo por aqui esperando pronto tenerlo de nuevo.

We enjoyed our lunch and smoothies at the Rio Lounge after visiting the waterfall. It is located in a nice setting and the food is good with nice service. The prices aren't inexpensive but it was comparable to other restaurants in the area. Since we didn't have a car and would have paid more for a taxi ride into La Fortuna, it definitely made sense for us to enjoy a late lunch here before heading back to our hotel.
