Popped in here for a small beer before trying to find some of the other restaurants rated higher on TA.Sadly they were closed at lunchtime so came back here and ordered the grilled parrot fish.Have to say it was excellent and better than expected. It came with a salad and a few of the mojo potatoes. We only wished we'd ordered a side plate of them as they were lovely and better than the ones we sampled on 2 trips to La Geria. The views were lovely across the bay and it was a real sun trap.2 meals,2 small beers and 2 glasses of white wine was â¬36 which we thought was good value.
Muy bien de precio y a parte la paella buenisima. Recomiendo la mixta ciega.Vamos mucho y lo recomiendo sin miedo a quedar mal.

Just had an evening meal here - pleasant enough and a traditional Spanish restaurant setting. The classic appetiser came unasked but was very welcome after a nine-mike hot walk today - crusty white rolls with ali-oli and both red and green mojo sauces. Limited vegetarian choices so I ordered the cream of pumpkin soup followed by a house salad and the classic papas arugadas: I was a bit taken aback by the potatoes arriving first, then the salad, then the soup - all before Jennyâs fish of the day appeared. My soup was fine but slightly over-salted for my taste, but overall a decent meal in a small place with a limited menu. Jennyâs fish was beautifully-cooked and nicely moist but the fish itself was a bit unexciting, she said. The chocolate mousses we finished off with, on the other hand, were delicious without being too rich, and they do do decaffeinated espresso, which was a real bonus. A nice enough meal though a bit pricier than a couple of the other places in town.

I asked both waitresses what fresh fish they had and could I have a look at it. My restaurant Spanish is functional. They pretended not to understand. When I asked the second waitress what fish they had for splitting and grilling she simply took an order for a portion for two. It took an hour to arrive, and was dry, without the usual garlic and parsley. I fear that the need to serve people correctly and to cook their food correctly has not reached this far flung outpost. Appalling. Nice view. The fish was called boca negra, incidentally, its dryness accentuating its boniness. If cooked for half the time it might have been nice, but I resent paying â¬34 for ruined fish.

Girasol restaurant was our initial choice for lunch when visiting the island. All the outside tables were reserved and after a surely response to our question in relation to availability, we turned, left and found this fabulous restaurant. We sat outside on one of 3 tables, you could see the mountains and had to lean to one side to get a glimpse of water. From the tables outside the views are not appealing. This is family owned and run and the lady of the house was very patient with our less than impressive attempt to ask for our food in Spanish. The menu is in English as well, however, we like to give it a go!The food was amazing, we had a house salad to share to start, it was enormous, easily enough for at least 2. I had the sardines, which were delicious and again, loads of them. My husband had the fish of the day, I can honestly say I have never seen a fish so large, it resembled a puffer fish, massive!! (Clearly it wasn't as their toxin is more powerful than cyanide - however it looked like it!). All washed down by a perfectly chilled local white wine and finished with good quality coffee. The bill when it came was a delight as well, just under 50 Euros. The real surprise is when you go inside, whilst there isn't view outside, the view from the windows inside is stunning. Mountains and clear blue water, just perfect. I would willingly pay 40 Euros again for the boat trip from Orzola just to eat in this retardant, it was fantastic!

Nice, cozy restaurant, traditional. Located in the only asphalt-free city of Europe, two steps from the smallest museum in the world, the restaurant is small, elegant, carrying you back in time. The food is fresh and good, serving is very good, location 10.

Our 4x4 driver who lived on the island recommended this place which is just back from the front and we passed some people coming out who gave it the thumbs up. Slight reservation in that we were the only people in there - huge restaurant. We needn't have worried. The owner / manager bought out a huge tray of fish for us to choose from. We settled on grouper in the end although I have never seen such a huge hake! Caught that morning and cooked to order. It was absolutely delicious. Cooked simply in oil with Canarian potatoes and a bit of salad. If you want to eat on the island make sure you go to this place. It is much better than the tourist places on the port front.

We ate here two times during our stay. First time a lovely traditional rice dish, seccond time a seafood platter. Tasted great, but was waaaay too much and you should always leave some space fo a dessert, since their chocolate cake is to die for.
