The municipality of Enschede consisted of the city of Enschede until 1935, when the rural municipality of Lonneker, which surrounded the city, was annexed after the rapid industrial expansion of Enschede which began in the 1860s and involved the building of railways and the digging of the Twentekanaal.

At last a restaurant with soul and heart. The food is chosen consciously not only for quality but with ethics. Organic , free range and locally. Supporting local farmers and businesses who farm with passion and care for their animals. This restaurant is unique. The best meal we have had in the East of The Netherlands in fact the flat bread was the best I have tasted. The service is personal and sincere. Well done and thank you - we will be back.

This restaurant is situated just outside the center of Enschede, but indeed worthwhile visiting. The closes you get to Spain in Enschede. The owner and cook is Spanish and know about food and the tast of the people in this area. Been here several times and it never disappoints.Just give it a try.

The vibe is laid-back, and the L-shaped space upstairs has been thoroughly optimized and is a perfect escape for a group that wants to enjoy a pleasant evening together.The menu has a variety of cold and warm tapas, as we know them Spanish specialties that's just perfect for people that wants to try a bit of everything, like myself. For meat lovers this place is a dream, Lamb racks, T-bone, a bottle of vine, the interior, the music, all this for an affordable price makes Copa Cabana my favorite restaurant at the old market in Enschede.

We did not eat here . But it has a lovely terrace to sit outside. We had a nice view of the market . When it rains the large umbrellas open and you're dry. You cab sit here in the afternoon in the sun, great place!
