Tasca Barbanera is a cosy place with a bar, walls covered with pictures and old (but comfortable) furniture. The menu consists of a range of starters (which are actually pretty filling), main courses and deserts. The food is not very special, but tastes good. The waiters did make us feel welcome, although they only spoke a few words in English. If you want to have a proper diner in a cosy place with a nice ambiance, do consider Tasca Barbanera.

A great menu, especially for vegetarians as there is a lot of choice but there are plenty of meat dishes too. What was interesting is that there are a lot of possibilities with the menu as dishes start at around 5â¬. Perfect for those with a small appetite and for others it allows multiple dishes and sharing options! There is also the tapas selection, which is ten small dishes between two people at 20â¬.Hello magic1LaPalma,thank you for yor visit, we are happy you enjoyed your stay.We also would like to express our gratitude for the comment you left on tripadvisor.Any opinion and criticism is well received as an impulse and opportunity to improveour service and attencion. Thanks again and may we invite you to visit La Luna again in a future occasion.Saludos La Luna Team

Visited several times over the last few months and the food and service has always been good, but you get what you pay for. Very good value for money but if you want fine dining this is not for you. Just take in the views and have a beer or two!!!

We were doing a driving tour of La Palma and decided to stop for lunch after visiting the Mirador, La Cumbrecita. This little roadside restaurant is on the road South of El Paso. Very unassuming, charming owner and a great little lunch of : Carpaccio, Grilled Goats Cheese, Canarian Potatoes and a glass of local white wine. 23.86 Euro for two. Just delicious and a lovely resting point.

We ate here on two evenings while on holiday nearby. Everything was perfect. The service was friendly and efficient and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. We had starters, mains and deserts and all four of us enjoyed everything we ate, without exception. Wonderful, authentic food and a really varied menu. You canât really tell from the outside, but inside there is a lovely atmosphere, and we enjoyed sitting out on the terrace on our first visit too. Muchos Gracias!!!

The staff is very helpful, friendly and speaks English, a little bit Flemish (Gents!) and Deutsch. The menu is not that big but it are all very different dishes. There are also suggestions of the day. The dishes are rather large. I had a starter and a main course, and although I enjoy it, it was too much. But I surely can recommend the tartar of salmon and the trio of ice cream (Nutella, white and brown chocolate) as dessert! It is not the cheapest restaurant, but it's absolutely worth the money. We enjoyed our evening!

An excellent atmospheric location right next to the small church. Some of the best tapas we have eaten on the island. Friendly and efficient service. Perfect for a relaxing lunch and very reasonably priced. One of the highlights of our stay on La Palma.Hi Julian! Thanks for your testimonials and we wish see you again soon!

This restaurant is a really nice place for entertaining people or to have a romantic dinner. The food is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. This place also has a room for private parties. One can dine either inside or outside, however wherever you eat you will not be disappointed.

This is quite a diverse restaurantWith stoney rough floors. It's built into the volcanic rock and consequently it's relatively dark. The WC'S are outside in the parking lot which overlooks the valley and the ocean. It's a busy place with the staff not really having too much time as they are permanently in a hurry. There is a bar area too on entering. We've eaten here a few times.Unfortunately for me I always forget that they do not serve chicken. So if you are expecting chicken on the menu it is not possible.I do not recommend for a quiet romantic meal because it's busy and the darkness can not appeal to some.

Our Restaurant Is Closed From 5th Of august Until 12th Of august. From The 1st Of May Until 31th Of October We Open At 18oo Hour
1 year after our group (11 persons in the age between 12 and 53 years) had first crashed Tasca Catalina during our vacation time in La Laguna, we again booked a table last Thursday in our favourite restaurant on this amazing island. OMG what a delicious food and amazing atmosphere! As a starter we chose a salad with gambas & sesame, cheese balls, olive and goat cheese cremes accompanied by a choice of white and black bread, fried tomatoes, 4-variations plates consisting out of tasty meat pieces with filled egg, beet salad and spinach tortilla, provolone cheese (baked cheese). After a rich starter, we decided to go with fennel salad and risotto with octopus - I swear the best one I had in my life! The last piece of meal, which suited into my belly, was the phenomenal swordfish roulade. For the dessert, we chose pana cotta with fresh strawberry mousse - phenomenal taste. Tasca has git a few new service team members, who was very professional, friendly and with a good taste for humour. All in all, if there's a food paradise on earth, it is definitely here in Tasca Catalina!
