We were looking for authentic paella when we wandered into this intimate little side street restaurant. The owner/chef greeted and seated us, as we were the first customers of the night. He explained that he had only seafood to offer that night, but he was such a nice guy who seemed so totally authentic, and we liked the atmosphere of the place so much we ordered a bottle of wine and told him to bring us whatever food he does best. Wow, was that a good plan! He started us off with grilled octopus, followed by steamed mussels, then grilled cuttlefish, and finally sauteed munkfish. No regrets over not getting our paella. It was all fabulous.

Classic ambiance in this restaurant, with a culinary proposal based on local cuisine with excellent fish, rices and fresh seafood, yet incorporating a sifnificant contemporary touch in its techniques and the ever-present Mediterranean influence.Exquisitel
Been here many times and enjoyed every visit. No english spoken but pigeon Spanish works just as well. We are treated like old friends. Excellent food quality. Not cheap but then that is not what you go for. Frequented by almost exclusively Spanish people which says a lot. Visit if you speak a little Spanish or have a good dictionary!

It doesn't look much but them=n often the best places don't. There's a no reservation policy, you chalk your name on the board and are seated in a strict order. You choose your fish of another chalk board menu - whatever was caught that morning. We ate her a couple of nights and if we'd have found it earlier (rather than being drawn to the rather smarter, touristy restaurants in the main area of the port) we'd have eaten here every night. Yes, its that good. If you like fish fresh and beautifully cooked you'll be in heaven. We were.

In EntrefogonesbyJR®, we characterize ourselves working a market kitchen, being our specialties Meats, Rice, Fish and Our Desserts elaborated by the teachers. All our tapas are elaborated at the moment. In our wine list, which we study in detail, we offer
Huge menu of paellas which Iâm sure are great but my companion and I immersed ourselves in the Montaditos and tapas instead. Everything was delicious, freshly prepared and very filling. Ingredients of very high quality. The service is warm and attentive. You feel like a special guest in someoneâs home. We had both the white and red house wines which were excellent. The place is bright comfortable and quiet enough for serious conversation at dinner. We are very grateful for your high esteem and we are very pleased to have succeeded in meeting your expectations at Entrefogones by JR®.

Restaurant in functioning for 15 years, with management and familiar personnel, placed in Castellon's Port, opposite the Hotel Turcosa and that consists of a dining room closed with air conditioning and heating for 90 persons and besides a terrace equippe
We enjoyed a delicious dinner here in mid October. We arrived soon after the restaurant opened for the evening and had our choice of seating in the outdoor covered terrace (it was nearly full within 15 minutes). Service was attentive and the servers helpful when we were making our selections. We shared a large salad to start, and then had the tuna tataki and roasted turbot. Simple and delicious. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable. An enjoyable, relaxing evening. Recommend.Estimado yns_10: Muchas gracias por su opinión y estamos muy contentos que le encantara y además que recomiende nuestro restaurante. Esperamos verle de nuevo en nuestra casa. Reciba un abrazo.Saludos. Dpto. Relaciones Públicas

We had a very good experience having lunch here. The name "Tasca" is deceiving because is a restaurant above the average, both in price and quality. We had the menu for 36⬠that was excellent. A variety of starters all delicious and then the obliged paella of the region with choice of types. For desert also a good variety. Very friendly service and a courtesy limoncello on the house to close the meal.

A family restaurant, located in front of the port of Castellón, offers a quality home cooking, in which rice, fish and seafood predominate, the menu also includes a selection of meats, coming from different parts of the Spanish geography. Everything elabo
I was taken to dinner by a Spanish friend whlist in Castellon. We had the clams, mussels and octopus separately and they were fresh, simply cooked and tasted delicious with Valencian vino blanco of course!! I have never eaten an octopus staring at me!! And for dessert, a cheese cake so light with nutty ice cream with a fig compote. So divine and to die for!! The food is seriously good and I must try the meats the next time.Oh yes! And there's Lola, not just a name but the proprietor as well. She blond, bubbly and friendly and runs through the menu and makes excellent recommendations too!! She doesn't speak much English but will bring you the whole board of menus in EnglishA must visit if you are in the area!!!

We had 3 nights in Castellon and found Restaurante Mediterraneo on the first night from TripAdvisor. This restaurant ticked all the boxes. Great welcome, great service, great ambiance, and great food and wine. This restaurant is run by a family now in its 3rd generation. 3 brothers out front. One an expert in wine. And another brother, Victor, in the kitchen. Everything is outstanding and the price represents very good value. We went back 3 nights in a row. These people run a great business. Obviously we were impressed. If you are in this area this restaurant will add to your trip experience. Highly recommended.
