Your apprehensive when visiting a bar/restaurant when the staff are plentiful and dressed in smart matching uniforms whether they make the prices expensive, but this really is not like that. The service was excellent and the seating smart, yet relaxing. Lovely location on the pedestrianised sea front with an ideal outside seating area and pleasantly surprising good value drinks, look forward to returning to try the appetising looking food.

Casa do Pulpo is an authentic gem in this super touristy town. I recommend stopping here for dinner to escape the crowds of drunk bachelor and bachelorette parties. The host (and I'm assuming the owner) was amazing. Very engaging and excited to share his recommendations with us. Highlights were the Paella Mixta with Pasta, Calamari, and do not pass up the Tiramisu if they have it!

There are plenty of similar places to this one across the island.Meat-based grills, honest traditional food with old-school attentive service at usually competitive prices.Somewhat off the beaten track, you would not venture this far unless you knew the place. You know what you sign up for, so unlikely to go wrong in places like these!

Party of 7. Very poor, very slow service, very expensive, small portions but tasty food. We were ignored by waiting staff our entire time there, even with attempts to beckon staff over; waiting staff congregated chatting to each other, (we were late eating, approx 10pm). We had to whistle for extra cutlery and the dessert menu and get out of our chairs and walk over to ask for the bill. 3 hot desserts served stone cold. Staff rude and offensive when poor service pointed out. One dessert was replaced at our request, but staff became argumentive, aggressive and abusive threatened us with police when I asked for 2 desserts to be taken off the bill. They eventually agreed 6 euro discount off the 163 euro bill. No apologies given. We were polite with them.

DO make a reservation. Welcoming staff, kind and efficient. Fish starters were very good. Wine pairing was correct. The issue was paella. the restaurant is known for it so we took one for two people. Honestly, the compnonents and rice were exptremly well done, the problem we had was the quantity of salt. We couldn't get past fist serving because of amount of salt in it. Maybe chef had a bad day. If not for amount of salt, the dish well extremely well done.

We stopped here for drinks after walking in from Can Pastilla to Es Arenal. We chose to sit on an outside table overlooking the beach. We ordered our drinks 1 x 50cl San Miguel and 1 x "homemade" iced tea. Unfortunately when we visited most of the other customers were smokers so the air was thick with cigarette smoke. We were also constantly pestered by flies so in hindsight were pleased that we did not order any food although this may have been different in the main building across the road? When the drinks arrived the "homemade" iced tea was no different in looks or taste to the bottled / canned variety and the San Miguel was well short of the 50cl measure unless they include a thick layer of froth / head. Unfortunately based on our visit we would not return or recommend. Thanks for your review.I just donât understand reviews like this, because it has nothing to do with the quality of food and service.1st- The Terrasse is an outside area and people may smoke on outside areas. You could have asked a waiter to change the table when you feel disturbed from the smoke. 2nd- on outside areas it is just normal that there are flies. Specially when it was raining a view days before and it is near the beach.3rd- The homemade ice tea is homemade.( not very difficult to make= flavoured tea, sugar, ice cube in a shaker and ready)4th-In Spain the beer get served with foam. The half-liter mark is 3cm below top of the glass. It means that you get what you pay for.Restaurant and Café DEL SOL always try to make the best quality of food and service, specially because of that it is not fair to give such a strange review.Gracias. Visited here as we fancied a steak . The menu was simple without any extras. We found the restaurant to be lacking in atmosphere and our steak and potatoes was absolutely delicious however it was served in minutes . Had very little time to relax and have a drink.

We discovered Bar Andaluz whilst on holiday in 2016. Weâve just returned from holiday in the same area and Iâm delighted that this restaurant is as good as I remember. The staff are so friendly, food is amazing and atmosphere is great because itâs always busy. Diabloâs, grilled veg, and the bread with ayoli is superb. It can be very busy so be prepared to wait or eat at the bar.

Delicious food, we have tried tapas, paella was super tasty, place has great ambiance and design, prices a bit higher comparable to similar places however every our dinner and even lunch we spent in El Chiringuito Beach House, staff was nice and helpful. The place has a live DJ as well. Keep it up!
