Reviews on Spanish food in Ciutadella, Balearic Islands, Spain. You’ll find 17th-century, Italian-style buildings and an interesting old cathedral here. However, many travelers are drawn to Ciudadela’s lively nightlife and fiestas, including the Processo dels Tres Tocs on January 17 and a celebration of Sant Joan, the town’s patron saint, on June 23–24. They feature dancing, parades and pomada, a drink combining gin and lemon.

We sat for 45 minutes before being presented with a menu and wine list so it was an hour before we started to eat. The starters were the best part of the meal, the main courses good but the desserts were excessively sweet and we could not eat them. We were not charged for them. The initial service was poor. They apologised for the very slow service due to a member of staff being off ill. I do think they could have made more effort to ensure that our evening was not spoilt.

We found the food neither great nor so bad that we would never visit again. The dishes were âcreativeâ but not successfully so. For example, the clam starter were six clams with different toppings on top. One was a slice of clementine which overpowered the natural freshness and taste of the clams. Another example was the stuffed squid main - the stuffing had the consistency and colour of turkey stuffing - and did not enhance the taste. For the service, the staff were efficient and friendly. The manager, on the other hand, forgot our table in the beginning until I hailed down a waiter to take out order. At the end of the meal, the manager said to us something along the lines of âI will remember some people are hungry and donât come just to enjoyâ. I chalk this up to the language barrier but it was most rude nevertheless.

The food, the flavors and the service were all top notch. Most likely the best meal I have ever experienced and definitely the best restaurant on Menorca. Chef Silvia won the award for âbest chef of the Balearic Islandsâ and she certainly deserves it. Fantastic!

Mediterranean cuisine. We love local and seasonal products.
In love, in love, in love !!! Everything was perfect, service with attention to detail, exquisite and innovative cuisine and beautiful place. We spent one week in Menorca and sadly only went to dinner to this magnificent restaurant on one of our last nights. I say sadly, because if I would have known about this place, I would have chosen to go back for every meal. My parents and I arrived at 8 pm and were welcomed and accompanied to our table in their small but cute terrace. The waitress came after were seated down bringing us our menus and asked if we would like to have some water or order some drinks as she knew it was warm. Very polite, Sabrina from Italy was a delight as a waitress and continued to be during our dinner. We ordered many plates, as we had heard about the great quality of their offering. We started with their tomato salad and their green bean salad. Vegetables were treated with love and delicacy and it translated to every bite. We continued with a beef croquette which was crafted to perfection, bechamel creamy, flavorful meat filling and golden fried. The pork tacos followed, oh my god, insane, give me 100, I ll take them. The waitress informed us that the wife of the chef was Mexican and that they had a place called nopales in which they served different variations. If only I had more days.. As our mains we ordered the chicken and lobster skewer and the mustard sirloin. Very well balanced flavors in which the great quality of the food was highlighted by the perfect seasonings. Dessert? We had the apple strudel roll and the white chocolate soup with dark chocolate sponge cake. Honestly, two of the best desserts I have ever had the pleasure of devouring. I couldnât stop myself from going back with the spoon one too many times. Delighted, delicious and divine. Highly recommend everyone to experience the heavenly Smoix!!

My partner and I absolutely love Ciutadella and decided we would get a taxi from Cala nbosch to have an evening checking out the city in a cooler climate, Moriarty is easy to find and must have a high foot fall so we popped in early eve to see if we could book a table for a bit later on.When we came back at quarter to 9 it was still very quiet, we asked to sit outside in the stunning courtyard, it could not be more picturesque and peaceful. We ordered the burrata and prawns to share to start, the burrata came out first, gorgeous creamy cheese served with tomatoes, basil pesto and what I can only describe as a tomato jam? Was absolutely delicious!Followed by the Minorcan prawns which are the tastiest Iâve ever had.We had a bit of confusion with our mains, I ordered the salmon and my partner ordered lamb, the lamb came out next and was put in between us to share and there was plenty to share but Iâm pescatarian so obviously wouldnât eat it by choice, I told the waitress we werenât sharing the mains (itâs not clear on the menu this is what you are meant to do with the main course) so she went to the kitchen to ask for my salmon, the lamb was served just with potatoes, I have expressed before my bewilderment of the lack of veg in Minorcan restaurants and there is never a side dish of veg to order either! My partner said it was the best lamb heâd ever had, it was very soft and tender and I could see it falling off of the bone. The salmon was massive, again obviously meant for sharing, served with rice crisps which looked like curly prawn crackers and a few bits of asparagus yay! The middle of the fillet wasnât quite cooked and I wonder if this is because they were trying to perhaps get it to me quickly. The pistachio pesto was probably the best bit about it, I wouldnât order it again in a hurry. The desserts sounded fantastic but we were too full to have one so opted instead for 2 mint teas, Including an aperol spritz, 2 local Chardonnays and 2 small beers our bill came to câ¬92.We will come back definitely next time we stay in Ciutadella.

Vegetarian RESTAURANT and vegan Restaurant, GLUTEN FREE, coffee, tea, meals, dinner.
Wasn't too hard to find the place, but area is not the best one, if they want to maintain business shoud really move somewhere else. I came hour before they started serving food but was greeted with beer and olives. They didn't have English menu but waitress really precisely translated it to me. I ordered shiitake mushroom burger and for desert pear compote. Shame that they didn't have seitan, because I've red that it is usually on the menu. While I waited for food waitress brought me hummus with bread. Oh that hummus! So creamy! Could really taste olive oil but it wasn't greasy or oily. Burger was alright, vegan cheese well melted, potatoes, carrot and tomato well cooked - roasted. Maybe I'm mistaken but vegetables felt like they home grown - so full of flavour! Compote was ok, with cinnamon, I usually don't order something like that but it was only vegan desert on the menu, other ones were vegetarian. I was really looked after. Over all around â¬18 for main, desert and 2 large beers. I have to apologise I'm not sure how much tips I left - just realised that I'm late for bus. But I'll definitely come to visit again next year!

We will be open from May 1st to October 31st (except from October 4th through 13th inclusive). You can enjoy in a pleasant and suggestive space as Cuk-Cuk any of our specialities: paellas and other rice dishes, "fideua", fish and shellfish stews, or get t
An excellent value for money experience. We enjoyed meeting other couples and families in the beautiful and sparkling clean Cuk-Cuk kitchen. Everything was thoroughly prepared and extremely well organised with high attention to safety. As a group, we were asked which language we would prefer to be used for the cooking instructions. These were delivered clearly and understood by all. As we got on with the preparations, there was a wonderful buzz of the various languages as everyone enjoyed the cooking experience. We were served our dish sitting together in the intimate patio of the wonderful Menorcan house which is home to Elena and Alejandro, Cuk-Cukâs owners. We purchased a solid and well priced paella dish from Cuk-Cuk and have since made a very successful paella from the recipe supplied. After the meal, we strolled into Cuitadella with one of the other couples. Good food, great learning experience and a wonderful way to meet others. Many thanks Elena and Alejandro!

We had one meal here and that was during the evening. During the early hours of the following morning my partner was very ill with symptoms pointing to food poisoning. Now I cannot say with 100% certainty that the illness was directly caused by the meal but ......... I will leave you to draw your own conclusions. My partner had a fish dish and said, whilst she was eating it, that she thought it was very nice. Again, I will let you draw your own conclusions.
