Things to do in Caldas de Reis
This was a nice stop along the Camino after several kilometers of walking. We had some fresh orange juice and coffee. Their toilets are clean and they even have walls where visiting pilgrims can write on their wall their names and date of their visit. It was definitely a welcome place to rest the feet for pilgrims.

Join us for a wide great range of wines, cheese and tasty tapas! Beast terrace in town! Don't miss out or live music events!
We stumbled across this establishment while walking through town. The terrace was like no other in town modern, inviting, fun and relaxing all in one! Hearing the river is just heaven with the rays of sun. Great selection of wines! We ordered different tapas for everyone's tastes. Ensaldilla N°2 was delicious. The Mini slidderes were mouth watering. The cheese selection was magnificent, the truffle cheese alone was spectacular! The attention to detail on the plates were stellar. We stayed late into the night and there is a great vibe! Number 2 is not only a great place to relax but also have some fun. We all left satisfied drinks and foods. Ohhhh and the cheesecake was mmmmmm!!!!!

I shared the veggie pizza with a friend. It was tasty and surprisingly large given the price. First time I have ever seen a giant black olive placed on top of each slice. âºI had the ensalada mixta and it was great. Nice and large. My friend had an orange juice and it was fresh squeezed right then.A lot of food, we were VERY full when we left.
My boyfriend and I are walking the Camino de Santiago and we stopped here for our afternoon lunch. The menu del dia was amazing and the flan was exceptional. Coffee was included and also delicious. Highly recommend!

When walking the Camino the thing that you really need after your arrival at the albergue and the mandatory shower and change of clothes is a beer and then you need to eat. I have never been confronted with such generous portions on any of the 3 Caminos I have walked as those that were presented to us here. The Menu del Dia has a great range of choice. If it is fine dining that you seek then this is not the place but for every day real food it is fine. I had the pasta salad to start - enough for 3 people - and the chuleta de cerdo to follow would have fed a ravenous front row. In contrast the lemon mousse for dessert was light and refreshing and the house red dry and fruity. Wow.....and all for 9 euros.

Located right on the Camino route and next to the river, lovely place to stop and have a drink and a light lunch. We both had salads that were large, very fresh and tasty. Service was very good considering the place was inundated at this time by pilgrims all demanding service. If I was remaking in town I would visit again.

The food was great and the view as well. You can find local dishes, fresh seafood and fish. The wine of the house was good. Friendly and helpful staff.

Words donât do justice to describe this hidden away restaurant. Itâs a fine dining experience without the fuss. If we lived locally this would be our favourite eating out place. Pilgrims welcome. Extraordinary meal prepared by a chef who clearly understands food and how to put ingredients together. Great value. Charming and knowledgeable front of house completes the picture. Donât read another review. Just go there. You wonât be sorry. Judith & Jen
