Serve a Variety of Traditional Cuban food, with a mix of Latin foods from different countrys
My family visited Boston last weekend, and I wanted to take my niece's new husband, whose mother is Cuban to try some Boston Cuban food. He knew right from the moment we entered the restaurant that this was the real deal. We arrived at 11:30 for an early lunch and were seated right away. The waitress arrived soon after to bring us all some water. The extensive menu was in Spanish and English. We decided to order several plates to share. We didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. Everything was delicioso! My nephew gave it very high marks, as did we all. It was a highlight of everyone's weekend.

Have now been here several times and can review more accurately.Cons:Comically loud: The music is actually loud enough that their employees would have a reasonable OSHA complaint for exposure to persistent loud noises at work.Hysterically overpriced: $16 for 4 small shrimp.Mediocre food: Patatas bravas were like bad diner home fries, cooked to a crisp, yet still somehow brought out lukewarm. Brussels sprouts were...problematic.Pros: Despite having to yell my order over the music, the waitress correctly heard it and brought the items we ordered.Bottom line: There are many better tapas options in the Boston area.

Toro is a lively Spanish tapas restaurant and bar that has been serving the South End since 2005. The menu features Spanish food and small plates, designed to be served and enjoyed tapas-style. Wine, beer and cocktails are available as well and compliment
We spent an enjoyable evening of dining at this obviously very trendy and popular Boston spot.General comments: Excellent, tasty tapas type dishes meant to share if not necessary âauthenticâ; terrific wine list. Casual. Clearly operates on a quick turnover model.Take note: Reservations for dinner not accepted; first come first serve. We were there on a Monday night, and it was still extremely busy. Fortunately, we were on the early side and were able to get a table on the front patio (which, as an aside, is a great place to watch the variety of dogs that Bostonians have). We were certainly happy since a quick peek inside showed an extremely crowded, elbow to elbow dining experience and VERY noisyâI like vibe, but I do like to carry on a conversation when eating out which seemed nigh impossible inside.

We sat at an outside table, as the inside of the restaurant seemed like it could get a little noisy. The service was excellent from everybody, including the person at the reservations desk. The restaurant has a large selection of wine and cocktails, and the prices were not crazy. There were many excellent tapas dishes. There were four of us, and we ordered at least 10 different dishes. The dishes were served almost immediately, and every one of them was outstanding. I would definitely go back to the Barcelona Wine Bar. One of the friends with me, who is a foodie and bartender who frequently dines out, said it was the best restaurant experience he has had in a long time. Great job, everybody at the Barcelona Wine Bar. I will definitely return.
