Order a few small plates to share, and enjoy. We ordered fewer plates than was recommended, but it was plenty for us. And the 'house wine' (bottled for Jaleo) was excellent. I will return as soon as I can.

Real Tapas place with innovative small plates (tapas). Meat/fish, vegetables, and starch are all available. They are good tasting and well prepared. They even have Tempernillo as a house wine-by-the-glass.I was really happy until someone started smoking a very strong and penetrating cigar somewhere in the back of the house. Offensive and illegal, and I couldn't exit quickly enough.

We came on a Thursday before a Strathmore show, and it was already packed by 1830. I love Mexican and I love innovative street tacos, so I really wanted to try this place. The vibe was good, if not more urban and less traditional cantina. Our waitress was friendly and helpful in making recommendations. I had a margarita and my husband had a cocktail; both were tasty but didn't pack much punch for the price. The tacos were tiny and hit or miss. Even the ones that I liked I was disappointed, because by the time you got a taste of it, it was gone. I especially liked the Mexico City Pastor, and the Baja Fish was pretty good as well. The crispy kale and the cauliflower ones were underwhelming. It was good to try once but I don't think we'll rush back.
