Really helpful and friendly staff, great food, fresh ingredients, fantastic Spanish beer.4 of us came for Saturday lunch. The staff were very helpful with their suggestions. We weren't rushed, everything came at a nice pace which meant sharing the tapas was very easy.

Oh dear. The place looked nice. Buuuuuut.....it started poorly when we went to the bar to order drinks and they took ages to come, the orders were mixed up and one of them was wrong. The incorrect drink was replaced for free. We ordered dinner, and after a really long time, we questioned where the meals were. Ooops! It appears the order never made it to the kitchen. More apologies from the waitress, then the manager. More free drinks and a flat bread as an apology. Some of the meals turned up eventually. Two serves of paella took another 30 minutes to arrive, so most of us had finished our meals before the last 2 even made it to the table. The steak and salmon were good, the paella was mushy , bland and tasteless. I could not eat the rice part of the meal. The other two serves were equally as bad. So disappointing. More drinks were ordered, some of which did not show up. We ordered dessert, which took nearly 30 minutes to arrive, but I am pleased to report were generally nice. I read previous reviews, and it seems this is a common complaint - clearly they are not reading the reviews, or doing anything to improve the quality of their service or food. We were there for THREE HOURS trying to get our meals. Oh! And just to top it off, no toilet paper in the loos!! Good grief!! At least they were very apologetic (the only reason they got 2 stars and not 1) and gave us most of our meal for free. Will definitely NOT be back.

A European style Restaurant in the heart of Bendigo . Offering a Spanish inspired menu with local and Imported wines and beers .
Our two visits to Restaurante Galicia during our short stay in Bendigo were highlights: delicious food, friendly and welcoming service, a comfortable environment and excellent value. The croquettes were superb, the octopus tender, the coffee and wine excellent , , , in fact, all dishes tried were wonderful. We highly recommend this place . . . and a bonus for us was that it was very close to where we were staying,

Sangria is a unique hole in the wall dining experience. Bendigo has a number of small eateries, but Sangria would be a personal favourite. While a very small restaurant over a few floors, it delivers great food and a good dining experience.
