The previous night we ate at a Michelin recommended restaurant. This place was soooo much better!!! Despite us visiting off season and on a Champions League footy night semi finals (so no one around), we've had our best dinner here, while in Badajoz. This place is very friendly and serves superb food. Do talk to the waiter (possibly the owner). On his recommendation, I've had the most brilliant cut of meat, called 'pluma'. Wow! Fabulous, rich, smoky and melting. This was accompanied by a wonderful, local red from Bodega de Santa Marina. Pure joy!

If you find yourself in Badajoz, then you have to have a meal here. The bar service is attentive; it has nice ambience and music; and, best of all, it has incredibly delicious food. The Chef, Antonio, you can actually see prepares the food, and his kitchen uses fresh and traditional, locally-sourced ingredients from the farms in the Extremadura region to create his unforgettable dishes. I think any visitor to the Badajoz, or Extremadura, should plan to come and eat here and treat themselves to a dinner at Convivio if they want to eat affordable and authentic Spanish cuisine that goes way beyond the typical tourist fare. Extremadura is known for its farms and food (Iberico ham, pimentos de la Vera, olive oil), so if a traveler makes the time to get all the way out there, then they should pick a restaurant where one can experience these ingredients. I donât speak Spanish, but the staff were very patient and welcoming and helped me to order and explain the menu, which is a huge selling point for visitors. The restaurant is also near the city center, so itâs easy to find. I look forward to going back on my next visit to Spain.

I chose this place by other tripadvidors recommendations. The meal was pretty good. The steak was soft and juice (solomillo/ tenderloin) and they really know how to prepared it. The staff was really kind. My only complain is about the website that is not updated, so the prices are higher when you actually see the menu. When I told that to the staff they just said the website is not updated for 3 years and the prices became higher 'only' like 2 euros. Average cost per person like 15-20 euros for dinner. For lunch there are ''executive menu'' during working days. Well, I recommend.

En Asador La Bacana solo trabajamos con Chuletas recien cortadas, en su justo momento de maduración de la carne y atemperadas con el tiempo suficiente para conseguir el mejor asado.
We went to La Bacana for lunch and got placed on the wonderful terrace. We ordered a cheese plate and some meat and it was all super delicious.Of course the food itself is the most important, but I also have to point out the extraordinary service we received. The waiter was super attentive and we had a long talk about the local wines of Extremadura which he knew a lot about. He even gave us a wine magazine so we could read more about the regions different wines. We will definitely come back next time we visit Badajoz :)

Good service and meal. The waitress was really nice and the desert was delicious. Food could use a bit more side dishes (more salad or some potatos), but in their defense, we didn't ask before order. Average to high price.

The terrace with 4 tables is nice, but unfortunately gets some street noise. We had the 5-course menu @39â¬, which was good, especially the 3 starters. The amouse-bouche and the main course could not match up with the foie and the fish dishes.Service was friendly, this is not a touristy place, so Spanish is needed.

I was in a business trip this time, and I was very tired to stay around so I wanted to eat something in the hotel and go straight into my room. This has been one of the best meals I had in an hotel! They have a "menu ejecutivo" from Monday to Friday, midday and night for 21e (started, main, desert, drink & bread) which is very recomendable!

Excellent service, present but not overwhelming. Fine ingredients mixed with wisdom and cooked to perfection. Excellent clams with green sauce and fantastic fish on Spanish sauce. Hails to the chef.

It is a very nice restaurant with a very interesting decoration. The food quality is very good as well as the service received. Obviously this comes at a price, but still it is worth to go if you want to impress your couple or celebrate something with friends in a chic way
