Antojo Tavern Restaurant is located in a fully restored farmhouse in the valley of Aiala. We serve traditional cuisine. To prepare our dishes always use fresh and seasonal products to ensure the good taste and the best quality. We also have tapas and sand
I was looking forward to eat here due the good feedback of this place but I was quite disappointed with the food. We went for the weekend menu. As starter we received two small plates of cecina for 5 people and 3 large prawns per person (the best of all). We asked for a substitute to the prawns for my wife and they presented her with 4 small croquettes. For main course we tried different options (pork, lamb, duck and monk fish) and apart of the duck the rest lack of any sauce and any complement (just a few slices of potatoes), the food was quite dry. I have a small child and i asked for a fillet with chips, the fillet small and was burned! it came with about 7 chips (no more). Desert was also disappointed, not decent options. The 160 euros for five and a child' small fillet and chips is an expensive bill, I will never back here. Plenty of choices around the area to eat for half of the money and much better. The service was good, the best by far of the establishment. They told us we will eat quality when we booked, we are from the area and this was not up to any expectation.

We were invited by spanish people to a Restaurant far away from anythung in a small town called Amurrio. The decoration of the restaurant is very nice, the people are very friendly and the location is nice in a park surounded by the hills with the forest. But the big surprise is the food. The food is regional and spanish style with a high finess and best quality. A lunch can easily take two hours, because you will be served by a lot different kind of food. My biggest recommendation is the hot goat cheese. One of the best things I ever have eaten in my life. For everybody who went from Bilbao to the south, you should do a stop there and take the time for a very good lunch or dinner.
Parada obligada para compartir un menú delicioso de primeros y segundos platos de carne o pescado. Muy abundante con postres caseros y precio ideal. Muy recomendable y servicio impecable. ! Recomie do revoltijo de setas!

Typical Basque food restaurant located in the historic city of Orduña. Discover traditional food with the highest quality products in the area.
We went to this restaurant because it had the highest ratings in tripadvisor and the place did deliver. The staff were easy and helpful, the atmosphere very laid back. Lunch were some eggs with chicken / sausage and fries, nothing too sophisticated. The quality was very good, servings rather generous and we enjoyed it up to desert and a coffee which is where some places may disappoint. This was not the case.If we are ever back in Orduña we will definitely go to the same place.

Started with house-made chorizo saisage-delicious, had clams in a parsley sauce-fabulous, then for the entree, a "chuleta"-"small" steak with roasted red peppers. The steak was easily for 3 people and was cooked to perfection. Even the fat was tasty on the steak.desserts-most of which were home-made-were all delicious.Excellent selection of white and red wines-locally produced and within the Spanish borders. Can't wait to return.

We stayed at the hotel Saiaritz next door for one night last week. Friends on holiday our last night before catching the ferry at Bilbao the next day. We thought it would be nice to have a good dinner with a bottle of wine to celebrate the end of the holiday. Unfortunately, we found the lady who served us very nervous/over excited about speaking English, she did not listen to what we asked for. My husband wanted a steak cooked medium, that came back not cooked enough so had it re done. My brother in law wanted a steak well done, this wasn't well done but he didn't like to say. I had steak as well. All 3 steaks were quite chewy and gristley. My sister in law had sorry eggs on her pork loin, egg combi ( they had run out of chicken). Had to re ask for Roquefort cheese sauce, which when it came, not nice. My husband was still eating his dinner when the waitress came back with dessert menus and telling us all about the desserts. Only one of us wanted dessert, he wanted scoops of ice cream, but the lady pointed him in the direction.of the ice cream / ice lolly freezer to pick his own, so he came back with a choc ice cream on a stick...I was disappointed with dinner to have a dessert. We didn't bother with the wine either...the moment had gone. But we had breakfast in the morning before leaving, we did get fresh croissants and coffee....which has warranted an extra score.

One of the very best places to lunch for a moderate price in the surrounding area of Laudio-Amurrio. The plates have a professional presentation without being extravagant. The food being mostly traditional is well done and cooked to the point. The prices are moderate and all in all makes you leave the place satisfied and ready to come back. So a resounding nine out of ten.
