Stumbled in here starving from the amazing Skywings falconry (Parahawking) around the corner. I had the â¬8 menu del dia, with salmorejo Cordoba to start with that was full of flavour but a little salty, came with bread and olive oil and fresh bitter olives. For main course I had mixed fried fish; anchovies, fish and squid. We ordered some red wine and were surprised to find it was 20 years old! It was still OK but only just. My partner ordered fried anchovies followed by presa Ibérica pork which was a little over cooked. It came with chips, sliced cooked peppers and a very pungent garlic potato salad. The annoying thing was that they brought my soup first whilst he had nothing to eat, then his starter and his main course came at the same time as my main course, so not very welll organised in the kitchen. He ended up leaving most of his starter so that his main didnât get cold. Altogether a very underwhelming meal, I wouldnât eat here again, the best thing for me was the fried squid which was very tender.

We visited here on the recommendation of a friend, and so worth going. the food was really good and although close to a main road it was surprisingly quiet. The only thing was that the menu in English didn't have all the Spanish tapas on it, so we ordered from the Spanish menu and hoped for the best! It was lovely and decent sized portions. Worth going a bit out of town for this place.

Meson Tendido Cero is a modest well-dedicated eatery. Five years in operation since taken over â previously called Casa Manolo - well-located, providing very good Spanish cuisine however in an ambience that requires some refurbishing and modernization. Nice and friendly service, modestly priced. Certainly worth your visit.NOTE:Confusingly also is listed with the same address - as Lying Meson ZeroPlaza Constitucion 8 , 11680 Algodonales , Spain

We ate at their outdoor area overlooking the lake. We arrived a bit early so had some cold tapas and wings to start with our drinks. Then when the kitchen opened we had dinner. The food was outstanding (2 different paellas) and the service was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Dropped in for a drink at 8.30pm. Algodonales was busy with everyone out enjoying the weather. This bar is down near the church on the main street. We sat outside and drank apple cider from Seville. Very refreshing with ice and a slice of lemon. The food looked so good that we had to try. A few language misunderstandings but it worked out fine. Grilled baby squid was excellent. Potato salad was very good as was the tortilla- they had 5 choices and we had the local Spanish version with potatoes. A nice spot to watch the locals enjoy life.

Had planned to eat lunch at the place a few feet away but saw this place had a nice dia offering. I started with a great revuelto with sausage and potatoes followed with an excellent grilled fish. Chocolate cake, a glass of very nice local wine, fresh bread and very friendly service were also included. English not spoken but the young lady went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied. Our bill totaled 16 euro for two. You can not do much better anywhere. We have found this quality and pricing in many of the hill towns not overrun with tourists.

The restaurants in Algodonales are not fine dining, but they are all excellent at what they do. This bar was perfect for our first night when we really only wanted a snack. We left full of great tapas and very good wine. Also incredibly reasonable prices. Happy!
