Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
Visited here for lunch w/friends who live in the area. The service was great, food tasty and lunch specials very reasonably priced. Restaurant is decorated beautifully in the Mexican motif and authentic music added to the cultural ambiance. Fajitas and quesadilla lunch specials were a great deal. Only thing that could have made our experience better would been to have had our water glasses refilled more often as the spicy salsa had a bit of a bite. All in all a great experience and we would definitely return.

Waco's favorite Tex-Mex restaurant! Freshest (never frozen) and finest ingredients used in all menu items. Happy Hour weekdays 3-6:30. Our frozen margaritas are another Wacoan's fav. Live music nearly every Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights. We are proud
We came here for the dog-friendly patio, which was actually not hot with cover and misters! So many choices on the menu, from healthy to not - lots of avocado, vegetarian options and even a small Italian menu to honor the former restaurant that was in the space. Knowledgeable waitstaff! Loved it! :)

We were seated promptly and our waitress was very attentive. She kept the chips and cream sauce coming and the drinks full. I had the Comida Deluxe #1 with cheese enchiladas, beef taco, rice and beans, and guacamole. It was really tasty but a lot of food. Everyone in our party of 7 enjoyed what they ordered. The service was excellent. I recommend this restaurant and I will be back.

I Think this is just an average Mexican food restaurant like so many that are popping up everywhere in Texas...not the best Mexican food but also will not hesitate to grab a quick breakfast or lunch there again. I ordered a breakfast burrito which anything over the 2 minimum items on it you will pay 59 cents per item for. My husband order his usual cuevos rancheros breakfast, chorizo was extra, as were the chips and salsa if you order before 11:00 AM. Service was good, we did not have a long wait on our food. Food was good...just nothing exceptional...we both had breakfast and paid extra to have the chips and salsa before 11:00,with a Dr Pepper each and our bill was right at $20

Leal's is not a pretty place, but they sure have great food. Even better than the food are the smiles & happy attitude of the staff, and their helpfulness. Apparently we are not alone in our assessment, as they are always busy, We are retired but we notice it seems like a lot of hardworking people are dining there. Hardworking people want good, solid food. I have checked "mid-range" below, but the prices are very reasonable. I don't like the term "cheap" because it implies inferior, which this place is not.
