Annual Ancho's Birthday celebration for my brother. Our waitress Brianna suggested a slight variation to a menu item and it was great! The new manager, Vera, was very present, out getting to know the regulars. This is a 30-yr neighborhood restaurant with consistently great Tex-Mex food at family affordable prices. The salsa has a kick to it; the guacamole is fresh and chunky; the bar area makes any wait time enjoyable and the menu is varied enough to please our picky family!

Located in the pedestrian mall area near the Mission Inn, this small restaurant offers very good food at a reasonable price. The tamales are especially good.

American fare from steaks to seafood, plus Mexican favorites, served in a relaxed space with a bar.
This restaurant seemed like a fairly standard sit-down joint, but despite being stuck in the corner of a retail center and somewhat out of sight, it was packed on a Thursday night. The decor is eclectic, but highlights the local community with sports clippings and photos, air base photos, and local historic buildings. Add some Old West flair and I feel like this place actually cares about being here. Nice. The food is good, reasonably priced, and comes with a huge selection of sides to choose from. We went with the fries (a massive serving) and mashed sweet potatoes. Lastly, what made me give this five stars is the great staff. Everyone was attentive, friendly and remarkably efficient.Added bonus: I left my iPad behind and went to see a movie across the lot. I come back at closing and itâs waiting for me and has my receipt taped to the front so they could track me down if I didnât return. Good folks.

I was in the area playing Pokemon and decided to get a salad. It was 1:30 and I found out that El Torito has a salad and soup lunch special! And......IT'S AYCE - all you can eat!!! WHAT!!! Guess where I'll be having lunch once a week from here on out!!I love their Mexican Ceaser Salad - the green sauce is so good and the type of nuts on top is one of kind for a salad. I must have had about 3 helpings of salad. (It's healthy, right?) Plus one bowl of tortilla soup. Delish!!An amazing lunch time meal for a great cost, like $8! Sweet!!!Thanks El Torito. See you next week!!
