This restaurant has been in Irving for several years and for a reason! The ambiance is serene and beautiful and the staff is superb. My husband and I celebrated one of our anniversaries there and were treated extra special by the owner. The food and drinks are fabulous. The salmon is my all time favorite. This is a very special place to our household! We are so overjoyed to read these kind words - thank you! Happy anniversary to you and your husband and may you have many, many more. It's our pleasure and our honor to be a special place to your household. That really means a lot to us all. Thank you again!

Our restaurant resonates with traditional Tex-Mex food lovers as well as those interested in a foodieâs interpretation of Modern Mexican.
Lunch specials during weekdays. The selection of Bocaditos, Chimichangas, Nachos, Santa Fe, Poblano, Tex Mex is great. You also can create your own tex-mex combo. The salsa is very good. It is hard not to ask for a second serving of chips. Very nice ambiance. Saw several families with kids behaving well. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Enjoyed the mural on the featured wall!

When you approach and walk in, it looks very nice and gives you a strong first impression. Seating is somewhat uncomfortable. The boot we were placed in had a tear in the seat and you sank down into the bench. Our server was a very nice young man. He was attentive however, he never went over drink or dinner specials. I asked him to review them with me but he really gave me no real impressive details. Just that they have frozen margaritas and the dinner special is fish tacos. No description, nothing. We ordered and our food showed up by the time I put down my menu. Ok literally, it was under 5 minutes. They must have everything preprepared and ready to go once an order is made. I had the enchilada brisket dish. Brisket was dry and tasteless. The enchiladas were served with very tired beans and rice. Nothing felt fresh. Total time from order to paying was under 25 mins. Donât expect to spend much time here. They turn tables like cheap hookers turn tricks.

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
Lunch at this location was a very average experience - although the food was good - it is unacceptable to serve food that is barely warm. We did not have time to send the food back. Such a shame because it would have been very good - but barely warm and room temperature nachos just don't hit the spot.

We drove into the DFW metro plex and hit this Mexican food restaurant, close to the hotel. Glad to get a table before the Saturday rush. They greeted us and our waitress followed quickly. They serve chips and salsa immediately. Very friendly, good service. Started with beer, margarita and nachos. The atmosphere was casual, traditional Mexican music with TVs around the big dining room. Ordered the Chili Relleno and a tortilla soup, both were muy bueno. Very attentive staff. We were full and enjoyed our meal.

We were headed to Grand Prairie for a show and found this neighborhood jewel on TA. Looks iffy from the outside and not in a high class area but WOW! The staff were amazing. The food makes everything else immaterial. First, $1.99 house margaritas and Corona Mon-Thurs! Sign me up! Free chips are light as air, fresh and endless. The salsa tastes fresh, spiced just right for me with just a little heat. I was fascinated with the listing for stuffed avocado on the El Paso plate. OMG! Steak melts in your mouth! Mixed with beautifully charred mixed veggies and lightly topped with queso! Iâm now an addict. Came with tasty charro beans and 2 enchiladas. Beef enchilada was fine. The chicken one was the only chicken enchilada Iâve ever truly loved. Again, WOW! My hubby considers himself a chili rellano expert and judges every Mexican restaurant by them. He declared these the best heâd ever had and wished heâd just gotten 2 of them instead of a combo plate. We were so overwhelmingly blown away by this unpretentious joint that we will be making the 25 mile, thru 2 other cities trip again very very soon. It is DEFINITELY worth the drive!

Famous for more than thirty years of Legendary Tex-Mex, Pappasito's Cantina is known for the flavor, freshness and quality of their food and drinks! Pappasito's Cantina serves up succulent, sizzling fajitas, hand-crafted drinks and some of the best chips
The food was very good. But I could not understand why they were so expensive in comparison to other similar Mexican restaurants in the area. Itâs about $17-$24 for a plate of enchiladas (2 or 3) with rice and beans. The shrimp and fajita dishes were even more expensive of course. And it was so noisy we could hardly hear each other talk. It was on a Tuesday night and not overly crowded. Itâs just the acoustics. Are used to like Pappasitoâs in the past but I donât think we will be returning. There are several other very good Mexican restaurants in the area with more reasonable prices and better acoustics.

Visited twice whilst staying at Best Western Irving either side of my holiday. The fried chicken salad with thousand island sauce on the first trip was divine! Jet lagged and eating at what the body thought was 3am this salad was perfect - light enough you didnât feel over full and enough that you went to bed satisfied. Second trip felt up to the rack of ribs and it didnât disappoint. First visit we were a huge group and the gentleman looking after us was fabulous! With 15 orders we expected some wait but it wasnât too bad. Look forward to coming again when Iâm next in the area.Thank you Amy for dining with us, we appreciate your kind words and look forward to seeing you again next time!

I see the great reviews and i'm shocked. This is at best a mediocre chain for bland Mexican food. Drinks are fine but everything else is boring. It's like it is a caricature of a real Tex-Mex place. They have all of the typical things on the menu but everything lacks any WOW factor. It's kind of what you expect from a mall Chinese Restaurant. You know what the items are, expect them to taste a certain way, and then leave a little disappointed. I will say the service is always good. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of options around but...Hi,Thank you for your feedback. We work hard to offer great food, friendly and efficient service, and a pleasant dining experience. We are sad to hear that this was not your experience. We hope you will give us another chance in the near future.
