Refreshing change from the local Mexican restaurants in town. Making an attempt to try every dish and havenât been disappointed. Fresh food and great service. Small location and can be a tad noisy when full but donât let that stop you from enjoying the food .

Stop in for lunch, what a great surprise. Overall if you haven't tried this place you should if you like Mexican Food. Greeted with a smile, taken to a table, waiters was nice, polite and gave excellent recommendation about the soups. Nice place, TV's, beer on tap, beer in the bottle, full liquor bar. Once at the table they drop off chips and salsa. Had a bowl of the tortilla soup, thank you for the recommendation, the soup was very good full of shredded chicken, and I mean a lot of chicken, this very large bowl of soup is a meal in its self. Also had a taco and enchilada. All hot food was hot and all cold food cold, very nice job. The only thing I felt was a little under seasoned. I think the soup could have use a touch more spice, cumin, coriander or fresh cilantro, etc. same with the rice & beans ground beef for the taco and enchilada. Overall a very nice lunch will be back again. Recommended this place.

Tex-Mex Mexican Restaurant & Cantina - El Reyâs features a large indoor seating area and plenty of spaces for large groups. We also have a beautiful outdoor patio area where you can enjoy some iced cold margaritas during the summer and a Mexican coffee du
Food was terrible, we couldn't eat all of it. My husband ordered the Beef Quesadilla, he said the cheese was soupy and he couldn't cut the tortilla. I ordered the Lunch Special #1, it included a Taco, which was fair, Chile Relleno, there was a lot beef filling but only a couple of small pieces of chile, I think Chile Relleno is usually served as a whole chile stuffed with filling, it was not good, I also had Guacamole, it was served on shredded lettuce with a slice of tomato, I tried to pick up the Guacamole on my fork and it just dripped off, it was liquid!!! Also had refried beans, same as the Guacamole, a little thicker but not much. None of the meal was good.Service was a little too good! The waitress seated us, took our drink order (water), immediately returned with the water and asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't even had time to open the menu and it does have a lot of choices. She came back about 1 minute later and asked again, then came back another minute and asked, she finally gave us several minutes to decide. The prices are reasonable but the restaurant is dingy and food is terrible. We won't go back.

Our meal started out really well with a basket of some of the best chips weâve had anywhere. The wait staff was friendly and our food came relatively quickly. I was pleased to see that they had both kinds of chili rellenos on the menu and went with a green bell pepper one and my husband got an enchilada and chalupa. Although the main entrees were good, the salads were really disappointing, especially the quacamole which looked like it had been puréed and the tomatoes were really green. This was surprising because another reviewer said how the good guacamole was. Hope for better on our next visit. I
