A recent Friday dinner experience was a pleasant surprise. We were seated indoors next to an open window allowing us to enjoy the live entertainment and cool breeze. During happy hour, well drinks are $5 and a selection of beers is $3. Other cocktails are offered at regular price but a bit steep in my opinion and were not worth the $8 price tag.An appetizer of quail bites on a bed of cheesy grits with bourbon gravy was excellent. For entrees we opted for the Caesar salad with a bowel of gumbo or tortilla soup. The soups were fairly standard. However the Caesar salad was a head of romaine lettuce with Parmesan cheese and dressing drizzled on. It was definitely different but difficult to cut and eat.Service was prompt and efficient the night we visited.

Keep moving folks. Nothing to see here. Any attempt at something original falls flat here. The decor is refreshing, servers are attentive and food delivered quickly but the food is so subpar that it is hard to get excited about a return visit. The shrimp in the enchiladas were so overcooked and still had some shell attached at the tail that it was almost inedible. The rice was very good but not enough to save this mess. My michelada was served without ice and it was lukewarm at best.

This was our first visit while we were in town visiting family. Our party of 8 was promptly seated with our server Jesus. We sat outside. Everyone around recommended the steak fajitas and they did not disappoint. The chips and queso were very good to start us off. The service was good considering we had a big group. I would return when we are back in town!

On the way back from Houston to Bryan, Texas, we stopped at Sergio's Mexican Grill in Cypress for lunch. We found the service to be friendly and attentive and the Tex-Mex food was delicious. I'd be inclined to return to this restaurant the next time I am in the area.
