Went here for a conference dinner with around 100 people. Arrived by boat in lovely garden of restaurant. We had pisco sours to start with and plenty of beer and wine. They bought us little dishes to start with, which were all lovely and served well with good timing. Dinner itself was a buffet with steak (you could chose how well cooked your steak was and they did a good job getting this right) and salad. Dessert was a slice of an icecream and fruit concoction that was very nice too. Great place for the dinner and well catered and timed. Gracias.

Our Restaurant is located in a small village called Punucapa in the Carlos Anwandter Nature Sanctuary. , 20 min away from Valdivia on the way to Oncol Park. You can come by the river or by car through the beautiful Valdivian Rain Forrest.

Full recomendado!

We had eaten here with friends about seven years ago to celebrate a birthday but had forgotten the name and exact location. This time we had perfect, sun-drenched day to enjoy the sea setting. I heartily recommend sitting out on the terrace weather permitting. The pisco sour was great. My husband's fried sierra was quite fresh and tasty, though he would have preferred a different accompaniment that white rice. I, unfortunately, made the wrong choice: ceviche de jaiva. I didn't realize it would be just thin, stringy pieces of crab. The ceviche blend was bland. I didn't see any abalone (mentioned on TA by a previous guest) on the menu. Nor did we try the empanadas.

Based upon positive reviews en castellano, we thought we had arrived at the wrong Zu Hause. Ironically from the outside the restaurant looked like cheese in Tom & Jerry but there wasn't any cheese fondue or Raclette. Only mediocre 3-course set menu (charged per person) with very limited options was served. The overcooked mains in tasteless cream sauce were the worst we had in Chile. Knowing that Valdivia had a sizeable German community, I asked the waiter whether the restaurant was run by a Chilean-German or Chilean-Swiss and he said "he used to live in Switzerland." Unfortunately no one spoke English well. Otherwise we could have been explained clearly why this eatery had gone downhill.

Went here for a dinner during a business trip. The fried conger was great and the mash very tasty. The papas bravas were amazing. Good selection of bottle wines but not much by the glass. Service was very good and price very very decent.

Probably the best restaurant in Valdivia. Beautiful decor, friendly professional service and extensive menu Italian style. I started with the onion soup which was absolutely delicious . I had the grilled lamb chops with roast potatoes in rosemary for main course followed by tarta tatin for desert .. excellent ! The service was prompt and attentive and the friendly manager came to chat at the end of the meal. Highly recommend for couples , families or small groups of friends . Prices are keen for the quality of food , surroundings and service .
