Caracas Rockaway is our seasonal outpost on the boardwalk at Rockaway Beach, NYC. We have been opened in this beach concession since summer 2011. We feature our most popular arepas and sidekicks, we serve the best frozen sangria ever, have the greatest vi
Very good options for sharing or not. Great flavor and nice-sized portions. The whole experience, from being in the line, to ordering, all the way through seating and eating was very enjoyable. Great opportunity to see people, enjoy the promenade and beach, and spend time with friends. Will return every time when at Rockaway Beach.
A quiet street a few blocks from the beach, modest stores all around, a tiny place with one table inside, 8 seats. Find it! Make it a destination! Superb Peruvian style rotisserie chicken at modest cost ($13 for a whole bird) with selection of Latino sides, fried yucca, maduros, tostones, green rice and so on. Most people take out but we had fun sitting there, chatting with the chef. Rockaway is awakening after years of being boring; this place is one of the reasons. Much fun.

Lima Restaurant serves the best roasted chicken at a terrific price. You can order chicken separately, with sides, or get the combo plate, which was half a chicken, generous portions of rice and tostones (fried plantains, delicious!) and a large salad big enough for two to share. They also have wonderful sangria, either red or white. We ordered by the glass, large servings and terrific (FYI, a little on the strong side!). They also have several seafood selections on the menu. Service was very good. Parking in the lot outside. Highly recommend!
