We went to the Volcano restaurant on the recommendation of our hosts nearby. They said the steaks were magnificent. Since I don't eat beef very much, I stuck to one of the chicken entrees, and it was excellent. My wife had a fish dinner which was also very good. Prices are regular for Costa Rican standards. They have a nice garden out back, and the owner showed us around and explained about some of the more interesting plants. Excellent: place well located, cozy, service is fast, super customer service, diverse menu.We arrived minutes before the closing and the owner welcomed us. The attention was really nice.We ordered the Alfredo fettuccini with shrimps and the Indian chicken.They take all debit/credit cards.

We went to Dinner at the Borrego Negro. Donât let the inconspicuous appearence of the Restaurant fool you! The restaurant offers very high quality dishes at a reasonable price. Nowhere else in Costa Rica have we eaten as well as in this Restaurant. You can feel, that the owner loves his Restaurant and the offered dishes and explains on request every dish in detail. Apperantly the Restaurant was opened only 4 month ago, so the menu is still inclomplete and other changes, such as Desserts are in preparation. Altogether very recommedable, so that we were very Sand to have found the restaurant only on the day before our departure.
