I agree with other reviews that Top Ten is like 5 Guyâs in the USA. I like the fact that you can add as many topping as you want without additional cost. They even have jalapeños! This time I tried the brownie milk shake which was the best I have ever had anywhere. The service excellent and the restaurant exceptional clean. When we travel to Quito we always include a trip to Top Ten. The manager informed us that after the first of the year they will be expanding to other cities in Ecuador. I hope they will open one in Ibarra!Ann,Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted we could maker your palate fall in love with our flavor.

Kallari Association has demonstrated that the revolutionary concept of local food applies to chocolate. Kallari cacao beans spend only three months between harvest and destination. This comparative freshness of the beans guarantees higher quality flavor t
Hot cocoa was rich and nicely flavored, with a very generous portion. Food was lacking in flavor and texture. Per the waitress's recommendation, I ordered the green fried plaintain dumplings with peanut sauce. Sauce was green and did not taste of peanuts, and dumplings were mushy without a crunchy crust. After reading TA reviews, tried to sign up for a truffle-making class, but was told that they do not have any planned for the near future. Most of the good reviews here seem to reflect that class, rather than the experience at the cafe.

This was a nice little steakhouse. The atmosphere is a little different as it is located in an old house; donât expect low light, dark wood romance. We started with the vegetable/ chicken soup which was nice. We both had the sirloin steak, my wife the house special, I had it in a red wine sauce. The steak was a nice size, tender and cooked to perfection ( medium rare ) it came with rice, a potato and a salad. We quite enjoyed the meal. The young owner runs a one man show but did a nice job. I would recommend this spot if you want a reasonably priced and delicious steak. There is no wine list but wine is available.

We did the Quito bus tour and hopped off at the Panecillo. We were hungry and decided to try this place for lunch. We were so glad we did. The view is amazing and the food is excellent. It has the Ecuadorian foods you want to try, well prepared and presented. We had the sample platter, ceviche, and locro. They were all excellent and the service was great. They speak English well and were great with answering questions and giving recommendations. If you start the bus tour in the morning this is the best place to stop for lunch. After lunch we walked up toured the Panecillo and then got on the next bus that passed by.

Located on the popular La Ronda street in the historic district. We were staying next door at La Casona hotel and this restaurant was highly recommended by several sources for Ecuadorian food. We ordered the locro (potato soup, seco de chivo (goat stew), and fritada (fried pork). All three were nicely presented and delicious, albeit the pork was a bit dry. We were seated on the upper level with a beautiful view of the lights on Panecillo Hill. Great serve and ambiance. Entrees are in the $12-$15 range, but worth the experience on a first trip to Quito.

Ugh, it might the best thing Iâve ever eaten!A totally casual restaurant with beachy- jazzy-hip vibe that gets 5 stars.

The menu at Casa Gangotenaâs restaurant celebrates Ecuadorian cuisine Along our gastronomic road the restaurant has matured itâs culinary proposal; arriving to what we currently offer in our restaurantâs menu. We firmly believe in our cuisineâs inheritanc
Absolutely lovely location to have a lunch overlooking the old town and San Francisco church. The food was limited As itâs not the downstairs restaurant but it was a lovely day and we did not want to be inside for lunch. The food that we did have was perfect - tapas style and divine - perfect execution.Service started out dreadfully with a waitress who was obviously clueless showing up after a 20 min wait and us ringing the service button non stop. To be fair this was then replaced by a wonderful waiter who made up for the less than stellar start.
