Nice place to stop for a warm cup of tea and snack. They didn't have anything gluten free but other people I was with said the desserts were wonderful.

The inside of Don Jorge isn't anything special: checkered table cloths, booths, and no smoking signs on every wall. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place on a rainy evening. It seemed like a cozy place, and the food smelled good, so we decided to have dinner. About 4 of the 12 or so tables were full of locals, and no one spoke English. We had a bottle of red wine and each had a lomo steak with mushroom sauce and fries. The mushroom sauce was creamy, and the steak was cooked well. The fries weren't the best. The total bill was about $40 - much cheaper than the more popular Puerto Varas eateries. We recommend it for a casual, budget-friendly but tasty dinner.

Great place to have lunch. Brilliant service, good choices, reasonably priced, excellent quality of food, well presented, lovely ambience, clean place.Worth a visit.
From the minute I stepped into Santo Fuego with a friend, I knew we were going to have a fantastic dinner. The atmosphere is casual but nicely done, making you feel at home. Smell of the parrilla (grill) was mouth-watering. Authentic Argentine chef and his staff prepare the best cuts of meat (from Ojo de Bife to Entrana to Fillets) cooked to order. I suggest starting with grilled provolone cheese and a fresh mixed salad with homemade bread. You can enjoy a wider variety of dishes on the menu but the beef is out of this world. Good wine list and cocktails.

vegetarian and vegan food, also we have special plates without gluten and sugar. fusion cuisine inspired in India with love.
On a gravel street, this four table vegetarian place with gluten free and sugar free options seems really a labor of love with Hindu and generally Indian motifs. We went late in the evening, but they were happy to serve us. The cook came out of the kitchen to help our waiter speak English to us. The dal was unusual, but good. The falafel, too, was different and tasty. The Thai curry stir fry didn't have much curry flavor, but a little heat in the spicing. They were out of several things, so that limited our choices. It feels like they are really trying to run a good place. I support them!

We dined at the restaurant both nights and mornings we stayed at the hotel. Overall the food was great, with the menu changing each night (appetizer, main dish, dessert). The presentation was wonderful and the setting was spectacular. The food was also remarkably reasonable in its price. The only minor complain was the service, which did not live up to the quality of the hotel / restaurant. While there were always plenty of staff on hand, they were not be as attentive as needed or were slow in bringing out items (e.g. drinks). Overall, great experience and would definitely recommend

I thought I was in Portland when I bit into my delicious sandwich. This place is awesome. It was also priced well at 2500 clp for a sandwich. I had the sliced pork with BBQ sauce, pickles, and pickled onions. The guy working there was super nice as well. Yummy!!!Muchas gracias por tus comentarios ....un agrado saber que te hicimos sentir que estabas en Portland --....saludos ......

I had doubts, ibis restaurant has a low rank on TA.A local recommended it to me as the best small scale restaurant.I had a Pisco sour as apéro. It was so full of sugar that once the ice melted it was undrinkable. I ordered pulpo ( octopus ) as a starter, it was black and chewing gum is very tasty and tender compared to this octopus.Main dish I ordered salmon with a butter / capers sauce and fresh vegetables. Well... it came all out of the freezer. Nothing was Fresh. Definitely. They recommended me a white chardonnay whine. Excellent; only at 4900 pesos ( 7.5 U$) a glass --> it is a rip off ! We are in Chile ! ( I don't like waiters who recommend the most expensive wine on the menu) Conclusion :1- don't really trust a local when they recommend a restaurant; at least be suspicious and double check. 2- avoid this place; at 60 U$ for a frozen food meal this is a bad deal / rip off. The food is simply not good/fresh/ well prepared. 3- I do not recommend ! The low TA ranking is totally justified !

We had several breakfasts and dinners at this restaurant. Food quality is tops. Dinner dishes are creative and well-prepared. Service is excellent. Restaurant is spacious and has a spectacular view of the lake and its iconic volcanoes. Our experience is that Cumbres is one of the very best restaurants in the town.
