I love the menu, especially the juices, made to order, and the prices are very reasonable. The highlight of this place are the juices made to order, any fruit combination, they blend it all and bring it to you still in the blender cup.

This is the benchmarking buffet in Porto Alegre´s "Zona Sul" (the city south district): the cozy place in craft decoration with high quality food for lunch, served in a friendly way. It´s the model of restaurant that every buffet tried to copy, based on health food where is is possible to choose from salads, vegetarian recipes to pastas, tradicional brazilian black beans or poultry. In the afternoon the Machry is a calm place where you may invite your family or friends to enjoy a coffee or a tea with nice options of pies (mainly if you like chocolate or doce de leite pies). If you want yogurt, they also have. And it´s possible to order some very good bread (whole wheat or grain) among their options. If you just want to visit or find some craft home decoration you´ll find the right place too.

El Fuego steak house in Porto Alegre, Brazil, continues in its good shape. Staff is friendly and fast in bringing the cover and taking your order for drinks. Location is convenient at the Shopping "Moinhos", with easy parking. They continue having a system where they grilled different options of meat continuously in a barbecue fire in a room besides the main eating area. A buffet of salads and side dishes are in the same area. You can take a plate, serve your salad and other side dishes and ask for your favourite cut of meat. I recommend the most traditional Brazilian cut named "picanha", but in El Fuego they also have the delicious "costela" and "vazio" prepared in a typical gaucho style. From the BBQ fire they also serve melted provolone cheese and fried polenta. Not to be missed. All in all, its a very nice experience, specially if you are a meat lover.

First, it is a very simple restaurant with very simple decor. You cannot see the grill from the seating area as in some restaurants. They do not accept credit cards, so bring cash. Restaurante Princesa Isabel is not a typical tourist destination--in fact, everyone else I saw during my hour-long gorge-fest were obviously locals--so don't expect any English. After you indicate what you want--just the meat or the price including a set with sides and/or drinks--they bring the meat and sides to you, so you don't have to do anything else except say "si" or "nao" (or nod or shake your head if your mouth is full) when another plate of food comes out. You are not coming for the decoration or comfortable chairs anyway, so enjoy the meat!It is not the best meal at a restaurant I have ever had in my life, but of the churrascarias (grill restaurants) I went to during my stay in Brazil, this one was by far the best value (Rio churrascarias were overpriced!) and left me with satisfied with a full stomach and feeling sort of like a local.

There is literally nothing bad to say about this fabulous place. The pictures tell the story, this is truly the finest atmosphere in Porto Alegre to have a relaxing lunch in a beautiful semi enclosed open and airy space looking directly on Ipanema Beach and the River. Magical. The food is excellent and they even have a very good microbrewery on site featuring excellent beer. Homemade traditional deserts to die for. As good as the beautiful space and fine food are, it is the warmth of the family and the friendliness of the wait staff that shines the most and will keep me returning to my favorite lunch spot in Porto Alegre. The waiter even did magic tricks for the children and spoke English with me. The owner and his mother felt like friends by the end of my stay.Honestly, for a romantic meal or a lunch with the whole family, there is no better restaurant I would rather spend an afternoon in Porto Alegre. Thanks Chris, for the great rating.

One of the best place I have tried in Porto Alegre - not just because of the healthy stamp, but because the food is truly tasty! Well prepared and despite not being a vegetarian or raw food fan, I did not at all miss meat for a good meal here. Great salads for lunch so came back for dinner - not disappointed! Try the fermented cheesecake - itâs one of the best cheesecakes I have tried ! The burger next table looked great too. Will definitely come back to try more. The juices are fresh made in the back, and you can go check it out. Definitely a go to place when you get tired of picanha meat and fries/rice. So happy to read this amazing review! It feels great to know that we are doing it right <3 hope to see you again here soon!

The only organic food restaurant in Porto Alegre. The Bistrô do Solar is located in a historic house dating fromthe year 1790. The mansion is preserved. In Bistrô the healthy and tasty food.
I am celiac so I cannot eat gluten, their special for Tuesdays was a breaded fish (breaded in corn and rice flour) with rice and veggies (I asked them for fries instead or rice and they were happy to change it for me) the whole dish was great and not expensive at all! My husband got the soups buffet and all the 3 soups were very good. They have a big selections of a sweet buffet but we did not eat from there.Thank you for your rating. Come and visit us more often!
