Colombian stables at this restaurant. They have their own bakery in the back. Service was good, they serve big portions for very little money. The food came out warm, not hot as i like it but good.

Went for a working lunch with a few coworkers and we were able to enjoy a delicious meal in a live environment while working. The staff was accommodating and gave us a big table so we can work and eat. The food is always more than plenty and priced very reasonably.

I just came back from vacantioning in Peru and the food from El Chevere is such a great treat that I don't need to go back to Peru until next year! The papa a la huancaina, a lo pobre and so many other dishes are to die for. Not to mention, the desserts....alfajores, arroz con leche, mazamorra morada.......mmmm!The portions are pretty decent and enough to share. Whether you order for pick up or sit down, you will have a great experience. Even though parking might be a little tricky with the meters in Passaic. The service and the staff are very friendly as well. Thank you Chevere for bringing the peruvian flavor!

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years. If you want true authentic peruvian food, this is the place to go. The food is delicious, the prices are extremely reasonable and the service is good. Although the location may not be the best, the food is definitely worth it.

My wife is from the area of Peru from which this resaurant specializes. We'd heard about it and finally decided to make the four drive to eat there. When we got there, we found it to be very small and packed full. We drove around for an hour or so and came back to finally be able to get a table. We are glad we went. The food was authentic and delicious. Camu camu was pricey at $15 for a small pitcher. Other than that, things were reasonable. We will return someday.
