Marino fusion cuisine restaurant with specialties in peruvian food and oriental dishes like ceviche, maki rolls and others
shut the door!!!! a very cheap basic menu, 4 choices job done... I really like this place and I am a regular British expat gringo. you get Sushi without tones of mayonnaise and chips, (a very common thing here in Peru). don't forget to sign the wall.So nice to get as close as you will get in Peru Sushi. BTW TripAdvisor people this is a Japanese restaurant not Chinese as selected by some in the boxes below. Only negative is the Sushi rice seems to fall apart very easily. an English menu would be nice....only saying this for the benefit of the owner.cardboard boxes and paper bags for takeaway, we love environmental friendly packaging. Save the dolphin and all that, then sushi it!!!

Years ago, this was our favorite restaurant in Huanchaco. The owner, a nice old lady used to cook herself the best arroz con mariscos we've ever had.Now she doesn't cook anymore but still they know how to get the right flavors that separate the restaurant from the rest. Mariscos a la parrilla is just fantastic, a must-try every time we visit Huanchaco. It changed a lot over the years. It got cleaner and more sophisticated and they also raised their prices a lot! On the menu the two white wines were listed as S./40 and S./60. But the waiter (a nice guy) said that they were old prices and decided to charge 60 and 80. I ordered the wine anyway because of I just love their grilled seafood. The Cebiche is good but not the best in town.
Everything here that I have tried is really great. The ceviche, calamari, lomo saltado, pisco sours, causa - all excellent. But the tiraditos (thinly sliced fish ceviche) is especially worth getting! Still thinking about it months later... The outdoor seating is really comfortable and you are right on the beach. Amazing place for a nice leisurely lunch!

I had lunch here today with my taxi driver as we spent the day visiting El Brujo and Chan Chan. The food was delicious, however I realised I've been spoiled by the exceptional quality and price of the food at my hotel; Moche Sanctuary Lodge.I had a huge portion of lenguado (dover sole) with chips, salad and white corn. My driver had a huge plate of mixed ceviche. We shared a large carafe of chicha morada (it's a very sweet non-alcoholic drink). The fish was very tasty but pricy! Especially compared to the prices at Moche Sanctuary Lodge. The meals were very large and personally I'd prefer the meal to be half the size and the price also to be half.I paid 102 soles for 2 meals and one jug of drink which was15 soles. They said they couldn't take a card payment and I only just had enough cash to pay.I'd considered staying in Huacachina to be close to Chan Chan, and I'm glad I didn't.It felt quite hustled for tourists with men walking into our car as we drove through - trying to pass their flyers through the car windows. It felt safe but hassled. The restaurant has a nice location, slightly away from the main town, with an ocean view.

This is not a fancy place. You come to Pisagua because of the food, not the looks. The local is quite old and the wall paint is coming out, the tables are of plastic and not really nice. The view is nice if you seat by the door, Huanchaco y a lovely beach for surfers...But the food is UNIQUE! I am Peruvian and like to eat, I have been to many places and tasted several kinds of ceviche, some of them were superb, but this ceviche is better, the best I have ever tried, it is very simple, just a few ingredients, ask for a good fish (they have a version with cheap fish that is not bad but it´s not the real thing) and that amazing chili (aji mochero), and that´s it, the perfect ceviche. There is also quite nice "picante de langostinos", a spicy shrimp dish, also "cangrejo reventado", a great crab and egg dish, you should go and try several dishes...

We went to Menuland four times when we were in Huanchaco. The burgers are tasty and cheap (between 2-5 Soles). They have 10 different sauce options which they place on your table. I strongly recommend the spring onion mayonnaise. We went there for breakfast as well which was ok. We ordered the Americano breakfast (6 Soles) which includes juice, coffee, three bread rolls, two eggs and a tiny bit of bacon. The coffee was a bit watery and the eggs were bland but if you add some of the sauces it became tasty. It was a good carbo load breakfast before a day in the surf. The staff are friendly however only one lady speaks English. You can get by though with broken spanish as we did.

If you come to Peru I invite you to visit Mococho Restaurant at Huanchaco, Trujillo, La Libertad; our especialty: fresh steamed fish, covered with a variety of delicious sauces, a different, healthy and tasty option.
The restaurant was just about the close but the chef very kindly let us sit down. There are only 2 things on the menu - ceviche and steamed fish with a sauce and rice - both are designed to be shared. The ceviche was amazing - the best we have had in South America; hearty chunks of fish in a delicious and slightly spicy sauce. We opted for the pecan sauce with our fish and it was absolutely delicious - it literally melted in your mouth. The food is the definition of fresh ingredients, simply prepared to make an outstanding meal. Perhaps more expensive than you would pay in the rest of the town but in our opinion completely and utterly worth it. Do not miss a visit. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our food Phoebe, thank you for sharing your opinion with the travelers community!

I didnât think much of this place. Looks jaded despite the reggae playing. Had vegetarian stir fry which was pretty tasteless and not cooked with love. Owners arenât that friendly or caring. Gave it a second chance with fish and chips. Huge serve but again bland and uninteresting

Came here for lunch in May 2018. Great views of the ocean from the terrace and really nice staff. Pisco sours were a little sweet for our taste. The ceviche assortment, however, was fantastic. Fresh, zingy, spicy and varied. Breaded fried fish was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside; rice accompaniment was just plain rice, but the salad was fresh and came with a choice of two dressings (olive oil and creamy herb vinaigrette). Only negative on the food was that the tartare sauce seemed to just be mayonnaise with parsley...One of the waiters spoke really good English and everyone was pleasant and professional. We were disappointed to see our tip get concealed by one of the waiters - it really didnât look like he intended to share it with his colleagues front of house or in the kitchen. In fact, we tipped a second time (directly to another waiter), to ensure all the staff got a share.
