We had a very disappointing experience eating at Marola. It looks like a great place to stop on the way to Lopez Mendes beach, being a floating restaurant. We waited 50 minutes for our food. The waiter then came over and said there had been a mistake and would we mind waiting another 10-20 minutes. Customers who arrived at the same time as us had finished their meals even though we had ordered similar dishes. The food when it came out, calamari & chips were very average in taste. I thought the price was outrageously high at 136 $reais (â¬29 approx) with two soft drinks. We lost a lot of time from our day and paid a lot for it. I would not return here.

Expensive and exclusive - especially if you arrive at night - great setting for a James Bond film. Intriguing layout in tropical gardens and appealing rustic chalets with a jungle background. Strong smell of cleaning products when we entered our chalet - which always means warning signals!! Sure enough, during the night(s) there were strange scratching noises in the roof and high-pitched. screeching noises - from BATS. The following night when we arrived late we actually found âbat pooâ on a bed and the chalet didnât smell good at all. (The cockroach in the bathroom didnât make us any happier either). The staff were professional, including the kind boatsmen that took us to and fro to our yacht. The choice of breakfast was ordered according to a verbal standard menu - everything was fresh, no complaints there. We didnât eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant so we canât comment on the food or the service.

Looks like paradise, and has taste of it too.Impressive new modern big cuisine was first thing I´ve noticed as soon as entered. Hard to find a beautiful industrial kitchen like that on an island. The fishfood is very fresh and tasteful, service a little lazy, but ok. Nobody uses to be in a hurry at a place like this. The restaurant has it´s own marina, at Gipoia Island, Angra dos Reis. They have a Lodge "pousada" attached I had not visited.Prices I thought first a little high, but the size of the portions were fantastic. (see the pictures)Sure will come back.

Would highly recommend Pepe Bueno. The service was awesome and the food amazing, if anything the only downside was that there was too much food and it was a struggle to get home! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ilha Grande

Restaurant over the beach, relaxing enviroment with candle lights and live brasilian music. Speciality in seafood.
The location is nice at the beach with live good music but the food was not really anything good, we had grilled fish with shrimps and potatoes but the shrimps were baked too long and it was nothing really special. We expected more.

It was a great surprise for us. The food was very good - we had the squid and pastels for starters and a moqueca for main course, all great! - and the service was also above average. Not too pricy for the quality. Totally worth a visit.

At lunch or dinner, Angra Boutique Hotel will always be at your disposal, and you can enjoy our chefâs dishes or a delicious Peruvian Ceviche with fish, and as a main dish our specialty is a delicious âshrimp bobôâ, moqueca or the typical sole with shrimp
Very charming and tasty bistro, inside the hotel, but open to the general public from 8am to 10pm. Evelyn, the enchanting, very active Argentinian owner and main cook is indeed very skilled, achieving her Chef's graduation in Europe - specially in France, and in South America. The menu is very complete, with something ideal to everybody - fish, meat, pasta, salads - just chose. And the location is very, very beautiful, offering the choice to sit inside, with air conditioning, or outside, close to the beautiful swimming pool or with the spectacular view of the navigation channel.But...don't eat too much and save some space, 'cause desserts are the real expertise of Evelyn, a myriad of choices mixing fruits, chocolates, ice creams...yammy!

The restaurant Refúgio das Caravelas, is located in the middle of the mangrove, a rustic and pleasant environment. Payments with cards, checks and money. We have some very different dishes like: Fish with banana grilled, Fish with banana cooked. Barbecued
It is not a dinner spot, more lunch or late lunch. Even though we were the last guest at 5pm we were served a delicious grilled anchova in banana leaves, cooked to perfection. The stuff is not overly attentive, not english speaking, but very friendly. They organised a taxi boat for us once we were done with dinner.Thank you for the compliments, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, I hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again.Check back often.
